If I'm going to be honest, I'm not much of a glamper, much less a camper. Spending a week in the middle of a Texan desert and being subjected to extreme weather conditions, a communal bathroom, and a steady diet of food truck fare are not my ideas of fun

Unfortunately, we didn’t have more time to lounge and relax because there’s just too much to do in La Paz…starting with whale-watching! Our past experiences with whale watching in other places have always been met with disappointment, plus three hours to-and-from our hotel seemed like a strange way to spend our limited time in La Paz. The next day we ventured out on sea with Tuna Tuna Tours, where we rode alongside a pod of dolphins, spotted sea turtles, and swam with sea lions and whale sharks (! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ). He explained that La Paz’s sea lions are unusually gentle and playful, in part because they grow up interacting with humans from a young age.

Now you all know I'm all about the minimalism, but that doesn't mean I'm not attracted to some sparkle here and These metallic flats from Rothys add a hint of glam, but are still understated enough to wear to a friend’s baby shower or to work. Also, it goes without saying that they are comfortable (all of Rothys shoes are made with 100% recycled materials that are designed to be as lightweight and flexible as possible). Currently can’t stop pairing them with long coats and midi dresses, so you’ll probably seeing a lot of them on my Instagram feed these next few months!

Since moving into my new house, fashion has actually taken a backseat to my newfound love: interior décor. It’s been hard to pin down my exact home aesthetic – I find myself partial to Swedish minimalism one day, then torn between midcentury modern and boho-chic the next. I’m constantly trying to achieve a balance between all these styles that feels uniquely my own.
