I got my first chance to see the Vessel in person, when I was in NYC last September. It’s quite striking! At the time it was closed to the public for safety reasons, so I wasn’t allowed to climb it. While it is still closed, you can get a nice view of it from ground level without a reservation. I hope they are able to figure out a way to open it again soon. Corn Du (left) and Pen Y Fan are the tallest peaks in southern Britain. ⠀ ⠀ We hiked up here during our trip to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. After an extended closure, the HMS Belfast re-opens to the public today (July 8, 2021).⠀ ⠀ Tuesday I got to preview the attraction. I didn’t realize how big it was and how much there is to see!⠀ ⠀ The HMS Belfast is the most significant surviving World War II Royal Navy Warship. It fired some of the first shots at the D-Day Landings and served in the Korean War.⠀For the last 50 years it has been a museum on the River Thames in London. ⠀ ⠀ When you visit you can learn more about the history and what life was like onboard. You can sit in the captain’s chair, go in the engine room, see the chapel, mailroom, kitchen, and even play a battleship game. ⠀ ⠀ On top of that, you get some amazing views of London. Today we visited the birthplace of Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace.⠀It was quite a full day, there is so much to see!⠀ ⠀ In addition to touring the Palace and the beautiful gardens. You might think it’s not worth visiting Las Vegas if you don’t want to lay down any bets, but you would be missing out. You can also find some more traditional museum like the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Discovery Children’s Museum, and the Planetarium. Just over an hour’s drive from Las Vegas, you will find canyons, petroglyphs, unique stone formations, and colorful swirling rock hills ideal for hiking. Just 30 minutes from the Strip, you will find Lake Las Vegas, a 320 -acre manmade reservoir surrounded by hotels, houses, restaurants, shopping, and a golf course.

It’s home to Johnson Space Center, so you would expect to find some interesting science museums, but there are excellent art museums too. Free admission is available on Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Explore UT day, LBJ’s birthday, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Veteran’s Day, and Austin Museum Day.
Romantic Things to Do in NYC for Couples New York City is the perfect place for a romantic trip or even honeymoon. While you can admire the NYC skyline from an observation deck or rooftop bar, that can’t compare to taking a helicopter ride over the city. You will want to check out some of the lesser-known NYC beaches like Wolf’s Pond Beach on Staten Island or the People’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park in Queens. If you want to escape the city for a romantic beach day trip, it’s easy to get to Sandy Hook in New Jersey or Long Beach in Long Island without a car.
Some are walking distance to the city center, while it’s best to take the shuttle bus from other terminals. The city is also home to some of the best museums in Spain including the Barcelona City History Museum, Museu Nacional D’Art de Catalunya, a Picasso Museum, and more. When you visit Barcelona, it’s a good idea to allow time to go on excursions outside the city. That said, the best time to visit Barcelona is probably either the spring or fall when it’s not too hot or too cold and the crowds aren’t as big.
