The Shoes on the Danube Bank is a memorial in Budapest to honour the Jewish who were killed during World War II. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so their bodies fell into the river and were carried away.
Day hike: Howth. Howth has lighthouses, a castle, an old abbey, and some great hiking trails.
The Church is a Cafe, Bar and modern Irish Restaurant located on the corner of Mary & Jervis Street, and is a hive of activity, bringing cultures, friends & families together. However, initially it was a 17th century former protestant church in Dublin. Also, The Church is connected to some of the most famous Irish personalities. For example, Arthur Guinness was married in St Mary’s Church before it was deconsecrated in the 1980s.
A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.
