I saved hours this morning by going straight to the scanner and not having to wait in the security line. 3️⃣ Book your flight with a travel credit card. Many of them have trip delay and cancellation insurance so if anything goes wrong, you’re covered and can get reimbursed for expenses. Have you ever tasted a proper stroopwafel? It’s supposed to be warm and soft, not cold and crispy! I learned from a master stroopwafel maker while in Gouda, Netherlands. His family has been doing this for 6 generations and they make 20k-25k waffles a day 🧇 I also learned there’s no butter in the waffle dough itself since it’s cooked at a really high temperature. There’s plenty of butter in the syrup filling tho 😋 Cooking classes are one of my top things to do while traveling. Welcome to Freiburg, Germany! On this day, we docked in Breisach, on the edge of the Black Forest where Hansel and Gretel were from 🌳 Then we took a shuttle bus into Freiburg to explore the shops and Christmas market, and listen to a special holiday organ concert inside the cathedral at 11am 🎶 This was one of my favorite Christmas markets because it was large, but not to the point where the vendors were repetitive. I saw some gifts here I didn’t find anywhere else!
