Ok so dolls are a bit creepy…  however, when your two year old starts putting the dogs’ toys in the dog bed, covering them in a tea towel whilst kissing them goodnight, you know its time to buy her a doll. I think dolls are great for little ones, she’s very compassionate and loves tucking her little doll to bed at night. Kelvin and I love the old school toys, songs, TV so any part of our childhood that we can relive through Evie. Evie absolutely loves rocking her new doll in her cradle and tucking her in every night
Our visit to the Regnum Carya, We decided to visit Turkey this year after much deliberation on what country we were going to visit for our summer holiday, I had always heard mixed reviews on visiting Turkey, but everybody who I have spoken to who has visited before has spoken so highly of it, the wonderful weather, hotels, Turkish people and food. As we were late arriving, we decided to order pizzas to the room, the prices in the room service menu are relatively high, not crazily expensive, but more than you would pay to eat a pizza back home, the pizza was amazing though and the prices on the in room dining menu is understandable in a hotel of this type, I would not have expected it to be cheap. Cleanliness was top priority and efficiency, friendliness and service was also such a very high priority for the staff, they remembered Evie’s name and gave her a lot of attention which is really nice as parents to see, we ate at the a la carte restaurants every night during our stay as Evie is only 21 months we found it easier than being up and down individually at the buffet – which did look incredible with its different themed nights. The Brazilian steakhouse was incredible, there was an additional charge for this restaurant but I would definitely recommend it, its outside and the food and service were incredible.
I wasn’t sure what I would write this blog about, there are so many things happening for Kelvin and I at the moment that I actually wasn’t sure which topic to base this blog about. I had the morning sickness for 3 days and every time I felt that wave of sickness it took me right back to how I felt when I was pregnant with Evie, waves of nostalgia and also sadness that this time it wasn’t meant to be. It wasn’t the right time and clearly my body knew that something wasn’t quite right. Kelvin has been brilliant, he too was so looking forward to having another baby, but like he says it just wasn’t the right time for us this time.
and you’re trying to get through your little one’s ironing, or you’re lucky enough to get an entire day off and decide to go shopping for yourself, only to arrive home armed with half of the Next kids section, toddler Converse, baby food and NOTHING for yourself. Things like going to the gym, having time to shave my legs in the shower without having to jump out mid-way through to chase a toilet brush wielding Evie down the hallway before she decides to chew it. We came to a resolution to do this not only so we could spend some more time doing the things we liked without being constantly in a rush, but also to spend some more time together as a couple. We chose a nursery called Busy bees, and since I mentioned it in a few posts on Instagram quite a lot of people have contacted me to tell me their little ones are also in Busy bees nurseries and that it’s a really successful national chain (I’ve just Googled it, and there are 344 nationwide! )
