It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of five more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007). The former English major in me feels like I should write down any number of British literature heroines…but honestly, all I wanna do is hang with Elle Woods. Dark wash, high-wasted, with just a little stretch to allow for cake, but not so much stretch that I’m pulling up my pants every time I stand up or sit down.
First time I saw Tabs in that Dior Jet Ski ad, I knew he’d be an action star. Really, Shia was available, and Tabs wasn’t. I can’t even tell you how many models I’ve tried to teach those specific body placements to, but Tabs just knew how to do it naturally. I had a poster of that famous Dior Cat Shades ad on my bedroom wall when I was a little girl, and that picture was my inspiration for ballet.
I like to watch the other drivers in line, because most are white-knuckling their steering wheel and rocking back and forth in their seat with a crazed look in their eye, and I don’t blame ’em, because this place sells the best coffee in the county, hands down, and when you need your coffee…you really need your coffee. Now, most iced lattes taste like punishment to me — burnt, and almost sour — but MCR’s is buttery, smooth, creamy, and precariously easy to drink. Last time at MCR, when I saw the barista walking out to my car with my drink, I felt the sudden urge to leap over the hood of my car like an American Ninja Warrior! ” to the latest skin care trend: “Skip Care” , something I’ve evidently been sort of doing since I realized that the less I mess with my skin, the better it generally is.
For detailed crease work, Sam recommends keeping these two brushes on hand so you can place your darkest crease color exactly where you want it. If you want more control, like when you’re drawing a pinpoint thin line in your inner crease, then hold closer to the ferrule, but if you’re going for a more blended, diffused look, hold your fingers father away from the ferrule. To draw fine, perfect lines, Sam likes to steady her hand by anchoring it against her cheek; then, when it’s time to sketch out the line, she uses her fingers to move the brush. Sam creatively uses one of my favorite MAC liquid lipsticks, Topped With Brandy, to create faux freckles, by applying dots of different sizes to the back of her hand, which she then picks up with a finger.
