I’ve recently become a huge fan of beauty supplements and took a dive into the wellness rabbit hole a few months ago. This vegan skincare cocktail packed with vitamin C supports collagen production, visibly plumps the skin from within and supports gut health. I’ve been taking these vitamin C packets for a few years now and would normally just take them when the weather changed and flu season was around the corner. While I’m a huge believer in getting your beauty sleep, supplements are great additions to any skincare or wellness routine.

so I incorporated a few items post-workout in order to help my body recover a little quicker. Especially if you’re starting a new fitness journey or you’re a veteran who can use a deep tissue massage after your daily gym sequences. My best friend Christa shared some of her Deep Blue Rub and Deep Blue Oil with me post workout I took a quick shower and then filled the bath tub with Indie Lee I-Recover Body Soak and put the jets on full blast.

In honor of International Women’s Day, I wanted to share some of the dope female owned beauty and fashion brands I’ve been loving. Fast forward to present day and I stock up on Elle Vie Body Butter products every Black Friday and have fallen in love with her body butter and shea oil. I found out about Lauren Napier’s amazing makeup remover wipes while working with Desiree at her beauty boutique in Harlem, Lauren Napier Beauty started with her infamous Cleanse wipes and has since added Flaunt and La Rose, her brightening and blemish-prone skin wipes.

The lone star state really felt the the heat, or lack there of because of a winter storm that obliterated power and sent majority of the state back to the stone ages with lack of heat, water and shortages of food and gas. Residents of Texas’ major cities, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and beyond were forced to find shelter amidst the chaos of a fragile power grid improperly winterized for what most states would categorize as a light dusting of snow. Between friends, family and college alumni, I was able to find heat, shelter and food and withstand the brunt of this storm. – Yoga is one way that I find my happy place and no one needed to find a place of happy more than I did.
