Hello! I am an oilfield wife and mom of one sassy, spitfire 7yo daughter and my husband and I are in the process of adopting 3 more kids, two boys and a girl. I love horseback riding and reading. I started Sirius Sunshine because I felt like I needed to do something good, something that would make people smile when the world is a hard place to live in. Something in my life was missing, a part of myself that I lost amidst the chaos of motherhood. I decided to create inspiration for others to guide them on their dark days. I own an online boutique, I have a blog and I love to share great things with other people. My goal is to help others on their journeys, helping them find themselves when they feel lost by sharing experiences, products, and fun with them. I have done collaborations with Ooly, many authors, Smile! Sox, GoPals, and National Geographic. I look forward to working with you and forming a great partnership for the future!

Happy Halloween, everyone, and happy birthday to my son Cody! He turns 12 today, and I can not believe it! Cody you have turned into such an amazing young man. You are thoughtful and caring and we love watching you grow as a son, brother, friend, ect. I have never loved watching sports as much as I love it now watching you play and I love that you give it your all and put your whole heart into everything you do! Here is to another year older and the last year before becoming a teenager. I love you bud and can't wait to see what you do next!

The mom burnout is REAL. So real. I am tired and low on patience just from all things mentally to keep track of, plus running several businesses at home also. We spent the long weekend spending time at the farm and just soaking in the last of the nice weather since it's supposed to get cold this coming week. The slow days were NICE. Not being on the go constantly and clock watching all day long was so needed. There should be no shame for slowing down and no shame for taking some days to do NOTHING. Anyone else saying “new year, new me”? We also are so thankful and grateful for the family and friends who have stood by us this year, come hell or high water, they never faltered as we grew our family and went through challenging times together. 2021… a new beginning to a new end. Nothing could have prepared us for what lay ahead 2 years ago when we started this journey but we took the leap and now have 3 more family members, which after the infertility battle we faced before is no small feat.
We had an AMAZING cookie baking day yesterday with lots of laughs, decorating, trivia, prizes, and good old-fashioned fun!!! This has become like a national holiday to us becuase we spend so much time together and make sure to do the trivia and prizes as we bake! We add enough so the dough is not sticky but stop adding when the dough starts to get a bit dry. I add 3 cups and mix and then add it cup by cup until it isn’t sticky.
and I think Christmas season will be amazing for a lot of us. so much love we can give to one another and don’t ever think your giving spirit won’t make a difference because I assure you, it does! What does the Christmas season mean to you? We celebrate the birth of Christ and the joy of believing in the magic of this season.
