Nivati 🌊 A trek to Nivati Fort and Nivati Beach exposed us to these beautiful views making it a perfect monsoon getaway. The trek is part of the many experiences curated by @cocoshambhala in Sindhudurg, South Maharashtra. This 3-hours guided trek took us through the jungles of Western ghats making us cross water streams, idyllic villages and witness many birds. Highly recommend doing this to anyone going! #sindhudurg #nivatifort #cocoshambhala #beachesofmaharashtra #fortsofmaharashtra #monsoongetaway

Calm before the storm! This is the best way to describe the evening that it was! Read on to know the adventure After some amazing wildlife sighting with @jehannumawilderness at #satpuranationalpark , when the evening fell, we once again hopped into the jeep. The team guided us to a secluded riverbed along the Tawa River. Here a delightful high tea and sundowner awaited our arrival. The winds were turning colder and wilder and we were enjoying the respite from weather that our respective hometowns were reeling under. The lightning in the distance added to the aesthetics of the evening where the staff churned out mahua martini as part of the sundowner experience. 30 minutes into the evening when we had cheered for a fantastic morning safari, the weather suddenly turned turbulent, so much so that we did not have the time to react. Leaving our martini glasses we ran to the vehicles, thankful that the typical open-top jeeps have a cover. Within seconds the rain started pouring with sharp droplets piercing the skin and winds blowing the clothes, hair and Jeep top! Winding up and down on the country roads, with a downpour filling up the area, it was sort of a flight that had got turbulence mid air. We were drenched within seconds and the chilly winds had got to us. I suggested we sing songs to distract ourselves from the blind spot ahead and feel a bit of warmth, but that only lasted a couple of minutes. With chattering teeth and trying to keep a balance so as not to fall off the seat, it was really challenging to sing! It took us 10 minutes to reach a tar road and finally breathe again without screaming. Honestly, this has been one of the most adventurous evenings of my life! Special thanks to @shubham_theuntamed_tracker who drove like a pro in the crazy storm and my fellow Jeep mates who made this journey so memorable - @foodgasmvali_mumma @dristi.sharma @vidhi__bubna Let's do this again 🤧🙌

Satpura tigers 🐅 In video - Shankara and Heart face from Churna zone of Satpura National Park. Clicked during a trip with @jehannumawilderness and @prstudio.2014 in April 2024. #tigersofindia #tigersofcentralindia #satpuratigerreserve #tigersafari

Beach therapy 🌊 I read about a study that “Coasts can have restorative effects, leading to better mental well-being, reduced stress, and increased physical activity”. Turns out it was true! 😁 All videos were captured after a short trek from the top of Kagal Fort, Kumta. Kumta is located on the opposite side of the popular beach Gokarna in Karnataka. This trek is one of the experiences offered by @panchabhuta_ and is absolutely stunning. From the history of the fort to the views of the ocean, this carefully guided and curated experience is one of its kind. I can’t thank the team enough for this walk. I will write in detail about this in my blog so stay tuned. Ok bye time to dip my feet again in the ocean! #kumtabeach #nirvanabeach #gokarna #karnataka #karnatakatourism

Bhopali Food 🤌🏻 Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, architectural marvels, and delectable cuisine. Among its many treasures are the culinary traditions passed down through generations, especially from the kitchens of the Begums, the royal women who once ruled the state. I dined under the in-house mango tree with beautiful sunset in backdrop. I tasted some of the most humble yet delicious dishes here in the private dining called General’s table. In my latest article @deccanherald I write about A Royal food trail in Bhopal. Swipe right for photos and check bylines highlight to read the article. Thank you for having me @jehannumapalace and @prstudio.2014 for facilitating the visit. #bhopalinfo #bhopal_the_city_of_lakes #bhopalfood #bhopaldiaries #madhyapradesh #madhyapradeshtourism @mptourism

Shankara 🐅 Last year I spent an entire day in the Churna zone of Satpuda National Park with no sight of the tiger. While sighting the big cats is a bonus, being in the jungle at peace with the sounds of nature, cold air on the face and soothing greens all around is the perfect vacation! This time around I spent 2 hours with this handsome male tiger in Churna. He was around a female tiger and they were enjoying each other's company and didn't mind having us in the vicinity. He took breaks in between their love making sessions and posed for us. I'm going to let the photos do the talking! More coming soon 😊 Special thanks to @jehannumawilderness for curating this amazing trip and the naturalists @tarkik_verma and @shubham_theuntamed_tracker for their amazing work! Thank you @prstudio.2014 for inviting me on this wonderful trip. #tigersighting #tigersofsatpura #wildlifephotography #wildlifeofindia #satpuratigerreserve #satpuranationalpark #madhyapradeshdiaries #madhyapradeshtourism #wildlifeaddicts #tigersofindia #natgeowildlife #sanctuaryasia #animalsofinstagram

In my latest contribution for Batik Air (Malindo Air) in-flight magazine, I dive into the delicious cuisine at Kimpton Maa-lai Bangkok, a luxurious property in Bangkok. The property stands out for various reasons: - Aesthetically done rooms with Bangkok skyline views - Infinity pool which is graced by a lot of k-drama actors and world celebrities/sportsmen - Spa offering amazing treatments - Library with a view But the most important highlight is the culinary delights served at the many cafes at Maa-Lai! I write in detail about each of the cafes and must try dishes. Bukhara is a treasure trove! With its narrow alleyways and bustling bazaars, Bukhara is the residence of the former Emirs of Bukhara. Walking between the numerous arches and cupolas of the old city feels like walking back in time. The sheer mastery and craftsmanship that went into building the monuments and walls of this city will mystify tourists. The best way to explore Bukhara is to walk in the dense network of back streets that conceal many monuments. The streets are filled with madrassas, Sufi shrines, traditional courtyard-style guesthouses and even a synagogue.  This particular street with water canals reminded me of Bruges, Belgium. So much influence of Asia, Europe and Russia! P.S: Still too many photos to share from my Uzbekistan trip 🙈 #uzbekistan_inst #Uzbekistan #uzbekistan_travel #uzbekistan_uzb #bukhara_photos #bukharacity #buxoro #femaletravelbloggers #feeluzbekistan #femmetravel #womenwhoexplore #explorewithecokats

Not getting over my Thai photoshoot anytime soon! It's already been a month since my Bangkok trip and I realised I have so many more photos to share. I absolutely loved dressing up in local attire and jewellery and have my makeup and hair done professionally. Having a photographer was a bonus since I was traveling solo. Have you ever done such photoshoots before? Where? Tell me in the comments below! Feel free to tag me in those photos so I can like and comment ❤️ #bangkokcity #watarun #bangkoktravel #thailandinstagram #thailandtourism

On my third solo trip to Bangkok, I explored the soulful temples, the grand palace, took a ride on the canals, metro and sky train, shopped in local markets and indulged in the delicious cuisine. I write about all the things to do and see in Bangkok in the March edition of @batikair @malindoair in-flight magazine. Catch the copy if you're flying with them this month or read it online. Link in bio. Have you been to Bangkok? Which is your favourite place or thing to do or food item to eat? Last week, I stepped into the foothills of Sahyadris in #Junnar, for Hindvi Swarajya Mahotsav 2024, a festival commemorating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 394th birth anniversary. Surrounded by the echoes of history, immersed in cultural displays, and exhibits paying homage to his legacy, the event was both humbling and inspiring. From lively processions to captivating cultural performances, each moment was infused with historical significance and deep respect. Observing the fervor and devotion of the locals and the people who traveled across the Maharashtra state to participate in this festival left an intangible impression, underscoring the lasting legacy of this remarkable leader. I couldn't help but be moved by the overwhelming sense of pride and unity that filled the atmosphere, reinforcing the enduring ideals embodied by Shivaji Maharaj. Junnar was also an eye-opener for me in terms of tourism potential. With 2 Ashtavinayak temples, 7 forts, ample nature soaking, adventure sports, caves and 2000-year old shiva temples with breathtaking carvings Junnar needs attention. There are places where tourists can engage in agro-tourism as well. I can't wait to go back in monsoon when the waterfalls come alive. Being part of this extraordinary celebration was a privilege, highlighting the rich heritage, history and traditions of Maharashtra. I am grateful for the opportunity provided by @maharashtratourismofficial for an unforgettable experience. Thank you for the guided history tour about Junnar @explorer_siddharth #394YearsOfGlory #ShivajiMaharajJayanti #HindaviSwarajyaMahotsav2024 #Maharashtra24 #ShivajiRaje #ShivneriFestival #ShivajiMaharajHistory #MarathaEmpire #MarathaKingdom #ShivajiMaharaj #ChatrapatiShivajiMaharaj #Maratha #HistoryOfMaharashtra #maharashtratourism

Gir National Park Safari Packing List

Indian summers are harsh and with the open-top vehicle, you are directly bearing the sun. A face mask is compulsory due to covid-19 precautionary measures and even otherwise it is best to hide your face in a mask to avoid inhaling the dust from the vehicle ahead of you! It is wildlife etiquette to wear neutrally coloured clothes in earth shades so as to blend with safari. Winter mornings in Gir are super chilly, and the wind from the open gypsy vehicles makes your bone chill.

Things to do in Bhuj: 2 days in Bhuj before going to Rann Utsav

Things to buy in Bhuj / Shopping in Bhuj Going to Bhuj and not shopping is like committing a crime. If you do not feel up to driving out of town to Bhujodi village, there is a street in the middle of the city on station road, where you can shop for artefacts, textiles and even customize a nameplate for yourself in mirror and mud work. Spend time around the villages in Kutch to explore the art and craft which is unique, vibrant and mind-blowing. Some of the options are: If you have more days in hand, you could explore nearby places like Mandvi, Kala Dungar, White Rann and many nearby villages which offer art and craft tourism.
