Who else is excited to watch the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony on the Seine River?🙋🏻‍♀️ I always enjoy witnessing the Olympic athletes from all over the world gathering in one place with hopeful hearts.🥇These pictures are from our trip to Paris last summer. @teamlab_borderless is a must-visit when traveling to Tokyo, especially if you are with teenagers. We almost couldn’t find our way out at the end, but I suppose that’s part of the fun!🤣 Have you experienced a @teamlab exhibition?

Ueno Park offers a peaceful atmosphere among the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The Shinobazu Lotus Pond 🪷 was enormous-I think we were too early to see it in full bloom by a month or so.🥲 We watched young couples pedaling in swan boats🦢, elderly couples feeding the birds 🐦, and the Ueno boys’ volleyball team running laps around the park🏃🏻‍♂️. Notably, this was the only place in Tokyo where we saw public trash cans. 🚮(IYKYK) 😂

We ate our way through Tokyo DisneySea and I still didn’t get to try everything that was on my list! What are your favorite Disney foods? Here are some of our highlights: 1. Seafood pizza (how do they make those Mickey hard-boiled eggs? 🤯) 2. Toy Story Alien Mochi-must try! 3. Matcha white chocolate popcorn (curry popcorn was also a winner) 4. Smoked chicken leg (better than the turkey leg IMHO) 5. Mickey-shaped churro (also tried a potato churro which was interesting) 6. Monaka with sea salt ice cream and raspberry filling 7. Iced latte with coffee jelly/boba (best drink of the day along with apple tea soda) 8. Mike Wazowski melon pan with cantaloupe filling

For example, we missed the grand opening of Fantasy Springs by two days 🥹, but the popcorn boxes featured a countdown with the number of days until its debut! 🍿 Hidden mickeys were everywhere and the various “ports” transported us around the world.🌎 The people-watching was next level, as many guests went all-out with their costumes and stuffies 😂 Favorite ride: Journey to the Center of the Earth. Gotta love a free museum! This was our second time visiting @thebroadmuseum and luckily I was able to reserve tickets the night before for Yayoi Kusuma’s Infinity Mirrored Room. It’s a neat place to visit in downtown L.A.✨

Yesterday we visited @henrywcoesp and it felt like we had all 87,000+ acres to ourselves! We did, however, encounter some unexpected visitors on our drive back down.😅 Hope everyone is enjoying their first few days of 2024.

When we visited Kailua Beach during our honeymoon, I never could have imagined returning to the same exact spot almost 20 years later for family pics with our two teenagers.🥰

The last time @derek.cal and I went to Oahu was during our honeymoon. It was fun to experience it with the kids almost twenty years later. A lot has changed, but it still feels like paradise!🌺

Do you enjoy traveling with large groups? Last week we went to Oahu with my daughter’s high school basketball team for a tournament.🏀 Thankfully, the organizers did a great job planning all the details, restaurants and activities. To top it off, the girls won the championship!🏆 It was a Thanksgiving we’ll never forget.🦃🌴

@sainte_chapelle is one of those places we might have missed if we did not have the Paris Museum Pass. The stunning stained glass depicts stories of the Bible.⛪️

At 94 years old, designer @yayoikusama_ is an inspirational force to be reckoned with. Be sure to make reservations (free!) to see her collaboration with @louisvuitton at LV Dream in Paris. (And yes, I STILL have more to post about our Paris trip!😅)
