I made it home from my ventures in Florida. Was excited to see all my birds and feed them watermelon, cucumbers, and apples. My husband and my neighbor did a great job caring for them even through daily rain storms. The run is a muddy mess in both flocks. It just hasn’t had a chance to dry out in between the rain. I think a couple bales of hay will work for my run, but considering using the horse pellets in the Neighbors coop because it holds water and takes longer to dry out. We are also considering sand. Do my chicken friends have any recommendations? Should we did out the mud that’s in there and backfill with sand? I will post a chicken update video tomorrow when I have more sunlight.
