If you would have asked me a year ago which beach to visit in Goa, without a hesitation I would mention all of my favorites, but now with a baby, I myself was not sure where to for a family day at the beach. We have visited Cavellosim beach a few times, so we have decided that we will try the same beach for a family day of fun. That is why we didn’t had the luxury of choosing any shack but the shack on our left Dom’s Beach Shack, right where the taxi dropped us, at the entrance of the beach. If you are a pina colada fanatic just like me, believe me, head to Dom’s Beach Shack
I have always wanted a beach wedding, so when my life puzzle became complete, my husband is from Goa or the Heaven on Earth as I call it, it was only fair to have my dream wedding come true. The place was under renovation but that didn’t stop me imagining my wedding being held there. We couldn’t come to Goa for a wedding menu tasting, so we send the in-laws and they gave the seal of approval. We met with Bradley and Sandra only ones, to discuss the details of the DJ, I wanted a music list of my favorite Hindi songs to be played, then he introduced us to a wonderful Master of Ceremony, Ayesha, and last the wedding car details.
Macedonians have a lot of issues getting the visa done but let me tell you, it took me some time to realise that all can be done if there is a will, and so it began. Goa was not the first place I have visited though, I had been in the UK for seven years and currently living in Dubai for a year and a half, these are different chapters, but Goa, For my luck I arrived at 6 am in the morning, the flight with Air India was pleasant. The immigration officer was very polite, he put the stamp and the visa on my passport and said: "Welcome to India."
We came near the end of the season, middle of April, the season here starts from October/November till the end of April. We decided to stay in a hut, for two days in Palolem, the resort is called Oxygen Palolem. You can wake up and have a walk on the beach before the sun rises and note down all the possible colours in the sky or you can have a cup of tea or a coffee on the balcony and just meditate. We ordered traditional Goan/Indian food, I love their spices, but for the not so brave, you can still stick to your own taste buds as they have everything from pasta to fish and chips and salads.
