I’m lucky enough to live one province over (although Canada is so big that this is still over a 10 hour drive) so I can visit without having to pay those crazy housing prices! I loved the elegant decor of the restaurant, the uniqueness of each little dish in my bento box, the area where the restaurant is located and the price of this bento was not so bad either. If you want plant-based sushi with a twist, then you should definitely try out the food from The General Public Sushi House! Aside from the great-tasting sushi, they have yummy cocktail drinks that we enjoyed (even though we promised we weren’t going to drink that night LOL), as well as some funny and strange decor!
For today’s video, I’m sharing THREE healthy & lazy 10-minute recipes that anyone can make, even if they can’t cook! These recipes are lazy, healthy, high in protein, and they all contain a single ingredient that I’ve been enjoying a lot lately — plant-based yogurt! While the pasta is cooking, make the dressing by mixing together the vegan yogurt, hummus, dill weed, garlic powder, nutritional yeast, relish, lemon juice, and vinegar in a small bowl. Heat up some vegan butter in a pan (feel free to skip the butter or oil to keep it healthier) and lightly pan-fry the taco for a few minutes on each side to make it crispy.
If this is your first time hearing about seitan (vegan meat), it is a wheat-based food that is often used to substitute meat in terms of texture and taste (depending on the recipe). I’ve seen some seitan recipes floating around the internet lately, particularly those from The Viet Vegan on YouTube and George Lee on Tiktok, which caught my eye, so I thought that it was high time that I tried it for myself. This felt weird at first, very sticky and flaky but after 5-10 minutes of mixing and kneading, it’ll come together to form a beautiful dough (at least in Lisa’s video, it did LOL!). Once you’re satisfied with the bouncing back situation of your dough, the next step is to place the dough in cold water and to let it sit for 2 hours before moving on.

So now that fermentation is pretty much done, the next step is to do a little taste test and find out if this One-Ingredient Vegan Yogurt is worth all the waiting time! I’m probably going to sweeten it up a bit and put other things in it like vegan chocolate protein powder.
