I love the idea of collecting pieces from the places I’ve traveled and more often than not they turn into the pieces I take with me on my trips. Sea + Sky Travel Mala a collaboration from The Travel Curve + Lila in the Sky $98.50 Cutting down on the amount of one time plastics we use is a fantastic way to help with the worlds trash problem whether you’re at home or on the road. Also, if there’s a gift idea you think should be featured on next years gift guide let me know!
In this post, I’ll be covering my favourite looks for Fall/Winter 2019, how they work for a plus size silhouette and how they can be introduced into your travelling capsule wardrobes. Though I’m sure that in fact they have not looked in my closet, this season has justified why I’m writing about fashion because as far as I’m concerned it’s all. You know, I’m always encouraging my Travel Curve Ladies to break away from black and try other dark colours that offer the same benefits without taking over your entire look. We saw tartans, tweeds and animal prints all over the runways this season and trust me when I say this is so good for the plus size traveller.
Park Güell is a public park and garden that features incredible landscaping by one of the most famous architects in the world, Antoni Gaudi. Park Güell is surrounded by Gaudi’s famous mosaics, a technique he mastered and is known for, typical from the Art Nouveau period. La Sagrada Famillia is one of the busiest attractions in Barcelona (and totally worth taking time to see) so make sure to book tickets well in advance and again, try to get there early if you want those amazing photos! Tip: You know I love my artsy souvenirs and Sagrada Familia has one of my favourite gift shops of all time.
This first series is particularly special because the destination holds immense sentimental value to my husband and I. Each summer we head to the French Alps for 2 weeks of camping, hiking and exploring. We stay just outside of a small village called Barcelonette in the Ubaye, a pristine valley in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence that boarders Provence to the South and Italy in the East. I created this photo series in an attempt to connect more with the land as well as showcase the areas that I designate with and always make me want to return. I truly hope you enjoy this series in full and please, don’t forget to scroll over the images where you will find captions with more details behind my journey into the Alps!
