Highlights

Needed some drive time. Roads are looking great compared to where we were Wed and Thurs last week. Huge thanks to all the crews road and power folks for all their hard work.

If you are lucky you might see tens of thousands of amazing sunsets. Never once will they be the same. Enjoy every single one while you can.

Fall has arrived in full force!

A few photos from this weekends camping trip. While it was only a night in the woods it was a great time to recharge with good friends.

Fall is here in Illinois!

Had a great weekend camping with the Scouts.

A nice local camping weekend was much needed. Thankful the weather will be nice!

It is a doors off kind of weekend!

Enjoy the change in weather from the Southwest desert, I must admit I am tired of the rain.

A couple of drone shots from our campsite. Thanks @lost_overland for sharing!

More exploring around the area.

Airing down and then heading up the mountain to look for a camp spot.

When the trip unexpectedly changes due to vehicle maintenance issues we headed south to find new adventure.

The show must go on! A blown radiator hose will not stop the adventure but it will change out plans. Until next time Colorado.

Another little stop along the way. Saw a historic sign and decided to check it out. A very sad history. "The Sand Creek massacre (also known as the Chivington massacre, the battle of Sand Creek or the massacre of Cheyenne Indians) was a massacre of Cheyenne and Arapaho people by the U.S. Army in the American Indian Wars that occurred on November 29, 1864, when a 675-man force of the Third Colorado Cavalry under the command of U.S. Volunteers Colonel John Chivington attacked and destroyed a village of Cheyenne and Arapaho people in southeastern Colorado Territory, killing and mutilating an estimated 70 to 500 Native Americans, about two-thirds of whom were women and children.
