Plan Your Own Nusa Penida Tour: An Off the Beaten Track Day Trip from Bali

I’m not going to lie, I am one of few people who didn’t love Bali. There doesn’t seem to be a firm cost- like most things in Bali you can haggle. If you really don’t like the idea of renting a motorbike and exploring on your own, you can join a small group tour from Bali that will take you to Nusa Penida for a day. The view from the top of the cliffs makes it look like sandy crescent moon against the turquoise waves and while I sadly can’t speak from experience, those that have been say it is stunning.

Solo Travel in Thailand: Tips, Thoughts, and What to Expect

But, since I had so much experience travelling solo in the Western world, solo travel in Thailand wouldn’t be too difficult for me. While you should never expect everyone to speak English if that isn’t their first language, the fact is that the abundance of English in Thailand is a huge relief and does make things a lot easier for solo travellers. Getting Around Thailand as a Solo Traveller is Easy One of the best things about solo travel in Thailand is that it is so easy it is to get around, both in cities and around the country. How to Meet Fellow Solo Travellers in Thailand Thailand is a mecca for solo travellers so making friends along the way won’t be hard.

What to Wear in Egypt: Packing Tips for Female Travellers

I have to admit, his anger made me uncomfortable, and if he was that put off by the local women in Cairo wearing eyeliner and jeans, I can’t imagine how he would treat the women dressed in more revealing outfits. So, for any other women looking for inspiration on what to wear in Egypt to feel both comfortable and respectful, here’s what I recommend. A light sweater will do the trick (though it’s probably cooler just to wear the t-shirt, trust me) or a gauzy wrap to keep your shoulders covered. However, at the end of the day, whether you are travelling alone, with a man, or with other women, the most important thing to remember is to be respectful the local culture and mindful of your own personal comfort level when considering what to wear in Egypt.

How to Spend 2 Days in Edinburgh

From The Elephant House cafe where JK Rowling wrote some of the stories, to the Greyfriar’s Kirkyard where you can find certain character’s names on tombstones; there’s lots to see and find. Places to visit along the way include St. Giles Cathedral (although make sure there isn’t a wedding going on before you burst inside!), Scottish Parliament, Museum of Edinburgh, The Writer’s Museum, Mary King’s Close, and Tron Kirk. Although it’s hard to go wrong with any Scottish pub I would highly recommend The World’s End Pub on the Royal Mile and the Fiddler’s Arms in Grassmarket. Just east of Prince’s Street, Calton hill is another great place to find some spectacular views of the city.
