🚨PLEASE SWIPE 🚨⁣ ✊🏾I was in the 5th grade the first time I was called the N word ( yes with a HARD ER) and it’s something I’ll never forget. I remember feeling so confused and hurt because being the quiet girl I am, I knew I had done and said nothing to be verbally attacked like that. But that moment was a wake up call for me because I realized that being black comes with mistreatment from others. Almost 24 years old later and we’re still being mistreated.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✊🏾We’re tired. To fight for the right to be treated as equally as our counterparts is tiring and we’ve been doing it for way too long now. My brothers and sisters are being murdered in cold blood and justice is not being served. You cry for a burning church, weep for businesses being spray painted but when a black man’s LIFE is wrongfully taken away you’re silent? Well your silence speaks volumes. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✊🏾To those who are with us, thank you for using your voices to fight with us and please continue to educate your friends and family on the issues the black community continues to face. Day “whatever” of quarantine, how are we holding up? 😬 Personally, I’ve noticed a few changes in my skin the past few weeks that I’ve been trying to correct with some good ol’ sheet masks😪⁣ ⁣ If you know me, you know I’ve been obsessed with sheet masks for a while now for many reasons;⁣ ⁣ 🧖🏾‍♀️ They’re quick, easy and supper effective⁣ ⁣ 🧖🏾‍♀️They’re so calming (best paired with a glass of wine and chill music 👌🏾)⁣ ⁣ 🧖🏾‍♀️They’re cheap! (buying a pack is more cost effective that singles)⁣ ⁣ Obviously being in the land of skincare (🇰🇷) has been helpful because I can find sheet masks at literally every corner I turn so I’d love to know how you guys are dealing with any skin related issues🙋🏾‍♀️⁣ ⁣ Share your self care tips in the comments🤍👇🏾

The world is in a state we never imagined it would be in right now so it’s okay to feel off balance at times.⁣ ⁣ ✌🏾Don’t feel pressured to come out of quarantine as a world class chef or the next best seller author, regardless of what others may say. How you spend your time is completely up to you as long as it makes YOU happy and you #StaySafe ⁣ ⁣ ✌🏾Once in a while take the time to pray, meditate, stand outside (if you can) or find other ways to calm your anxiety. How have you guys been keeping sane while self-isolating?⁣😭 ⁣ Rona decided to spread while I was vacationing in South Korea so I haven’t been home since leaving for Bali ...almost 3 months ago..aha ha🙃 ⁣ ⁣ Luckily I’m quarantining in a country (with my bestie @gugumpofu 💖) that took measures quickly so there was never an official lockdown and I can still go outside, with caution of course, without being fined or beaten like in other places🤭🙏🏾⁣ ⁣ Even still, we find ourselves getting bored while being stuck inside so again I ask, how have you guys been keeping sane while self-isolating? ⬇️

☕️Cafes in South Korea are truly unmatched from their incredible attention to detail, fun&unique themes, interesting drink combos and their overall welcoming atmosphere. ⁣ ⁣ ☕️It honestly feels like I’m always discovering new worlds but I’m just on the run grabbing a quick cup of coffee⁣ ⁣ 📍This Cafe is located Style Nanda Hotel, a 5 floor clothing and beauty shop with a pool styled cafe and rooftop lounging area!
