For the filling: 200g pack lardons 50g of gruyère cheese 200ml fresh cream 2 large eggs Salt and pepper Recipe: -1 Reblochon cheese – 1kg of potatoes – 500gr of onions -200gr of lardons -15cl of white wine -Cook your onions & lardons in some butter then pour the white wine in and let cook until the onions are fully soaked – Place the potatoes slices into an ovenproof gratin dish layer them and add some of the onions and lardons before layering with more potatoes and adding the rest of the onions and lardons. – Boil the milk, garlic with salt and pepper then dump the potatoes and let them boil for 10 to 15min according to their firmness – Preheat the oven to 180°c and butter the gratin dish – Layer the potatoes into the gratin dish pour ontop the cream and add some nuts of butter on top.
and I had a great time with my classmates back then, in a way it’s like a ‘second home’ which I love to visit either to introduce it to my friend or by myself. I decided to stay in Paris for the summer as I didn’t feel like traveling although like more people in Europe I did consider going to Spain or Greece but that felt weird to me, so it was better to stay home and save money for me. But I still did spend a good amount of time in Paris through the summer, be it to try some restaurants or just to stroll to get some air and enjoy the Parisian architecture, and it was great to check parks or more touristy landmarks while they were fewer people. , I mean there were hard times when I felt really low and like a failure, dissapointing people (turns out a pandemy makes people even more selfish and stupid, shocker) but I rather think about the few amazing memories that I made.
I don’t want to scare you, Paris isn’t a terrible place, that’s for sure. Never throw away your metro ticket Alright, staying on the metro topic, as it is a pretty common mistakes a lot of people do when they use the metro in Paris and not only foreigners, French people as well when they travel to Paris. when you’re trying, it happened to me too, but some people just genuinely do not speak English, and there is nothing wrong with that if it’s not the main language of their country. If you’re in a restaurant and especially as a tourist and on a budget if you do order some water make sure to ask for tap water( or a “carafe d’eau” as we say in France), if you don’t they’re most likely going to bring some brand bottled water and charge you for it!
