Thank you! Tonight, my community who has been so supportive in sending condolences, checking in, and sending virtual hugs blessed me in a tremendous way - they sent payment toward Vince’s vet bills. ⁣ 🙏🏼⁣ I keep saying I’m overwhelmed in the best possible way because I don’t know how else to describe it. I called my parents to share the news and see if they could help me find the words. My mom said the outpouring of love for Vince and me is due to the good people with big hearts. 💕⁣ Over the last four years, I’ve met plenty of people who say they don’t get this whole having a dog on Instagram and I always say to myself, I guess it’s not yours to get. But YOU, not only love Vince but you get me and I’m forever grateful. I’m not one who asks for help, it’s just a hard thing for me to do, so to anticipate what I need and not let me turn it down is huge. ⁣ Thank you 💕Andi⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

Today would have been the beginning of #VincecincyHalloween ⁣ 🎃⁣ Help me honor Vince and celebrate Halloween by tagging @vincecincy and/or using #VinceCincyHalloween so I can see photos or videos of your #petsincostume 💕 Andi⁣ 👻 ⁣ In 2018, I was challenged to post 31 days of Vince in costume. I had maybe 11 costumes, so I asked a good friend if I could borrow some from her dogs and she came through with a huge bag! ⁣ 🎃⁣ I did it again in 2019 and changed the backdrop to a seasonal look. Since so many told me they preferred seeing his costumes against a plain background, I painted an old chair white to use this year. ⁣ 👻⁣ The week new costumes were delivered is when Vince started having seizures. I was waiting to take photos until after he got used to the anti-seizure meds, but we never got there. Instead, I might repost favorites from the previous years...⁣ 🎃⁣ As for where I got costumes? When I got Vince someone told me: you know you signed up for delay heartbreak. While true, I thought I’d have longer than 4 years before my heart would be broken. Vince was and will be dog of my life. ⁣ ⁣ Today, Vince had a MRI and spinal to find out why he was having seizures. The MRI showed he had a significant abnormality (tumor) in the brain. Unfortunately, he didn’t come out of the sedative. ⁣ ⁣ Thank you to all for rallying around Vince these last couple of weeks. It means more than I’ll ever be able to articulate. ⁣ ⁣ I now understand why he moved so fast, he had a lot of ground to cover in a short time. He lived a very good, albeit short life. ⁣ ⁣ Zoom zoom Vince 🌈

Everyone who has a pup with seizures and take anti-seizure meds says it gets better, so I’m hanging on that thought #vincecincy

So weeks of knowing something was wrong yet not figuring it out. Vince had another (scary to me) seizure and a visit to the emergency vet. He was released and is on anti-seizure meds. 🐶 That’s the sweetened, condensed version of events for the sake of giving an update. I’m confident his anti-seizure meds and finding his new normal will bring back the sweet and happy Vince I know. 🐶 Thank you to MedVet for taking good care of him and walking me through this whole process with compassion and care. 💕 Andi

I share Vince’s photos because he brings me joy and I hope others experience it, too. The last couple of weeks have been unkind to Vince’s health and just when I thought he was getting better, it took another turn. He has been under his vet’s care and we have a plan going forward, but for now I might take a break to focus on this soul entrusted to my care.
