Spring-spiration

Gleam Boutique; Jacket: c/o Aventura Clothing (old, but head over and use code mommyinflats20 for 20% off their spring collection); Sandals: c/o Jambu (use code MOMMY19 for 20% off your entire purchase) Inspiration or motivation. Even when I want to do all the things, there’s a limit to all the things that can be done whilst juggling all the duties a mom naturally has. So, I’m trying to savor the little things and not sweat the small stuff (so what if the 7 year old can’t keep her room clean for more than a minute or the 2 year old refuses to eat anything green). While I’m struggling to find the next big thing, I’m never short of the little things and that’s what life is made up of anyway.

Springing Forward with Fitness

However, as I’ve increased my workouts I’ve also started feeling motivated by the increased strength it brings. In this post, I want to share how I built up a base fitness level and how that has helped me work toward more structured workouts. I started doing 5-10 minutes of fitness before I got in the shower every couple days (head over to this post for more on that). If you’re thinking of starting an exercise program but don’t feel quite ready; consult your doctor (disclaimer right there;) and start slow with this modified quick and easy routine: 10 cat poses (hold your abs in for 10 seconds each) Hold plank for 20 seconds (modify by doing forearm plank) Repeat twice.

Top: c/o LA Made; Denim: Madewell; Bag: c/o Latico Leathers (use code MIF20 for 20% off); Sandals: c/o Jambu (use code MOMMYINFLATS19 for 20% off) My spring staples for moms include a good pair of sandals (made for walking, I love the Lilly by Jambu), and good basics (tees like this one gifted by LA Made, classic denim, and leggings-

What to Wear: Road Trip Edition

If you don’t want to be seen in public in your floral pj pants and ratty tees, read on to find out my comfortable road trip necessities. Pairing my leggings with a comfy jacket and sleek shoes left me feeling right at home in downtown after 9 hours in the car (though, the four kids tagging along at close to 10 pm might have set us a bit apart from the party crowd milling about us). Bag c/o Latico Leathers (use code MIF20 for 20% off your entire purchase) I swapped out my normal open tote for a cross body with a flap and it made hopping from car to public restroom to the Disney parks so easy!
