In the Speak Life Challenge, I challenged myself to always use words of affirmation when speaking with others and to not use my words to tear them down I would say that the SPEAK LIFE Challenge was a success. I am choosing the last option and will start the first round of editing the novel I wrote in November during the WRITE A NOVEL Challenge. I got an email from NaNoWriMo talking about Camp NaNoWriMo and thought that this would be the perfect time to start editing. The only way to finish is to actually start and that is what this month’s challenge is all about.
The March Challenge is the SPEAK LIFE CHALLENGE! ! ! It’s easy to assume that you are just one person and that you can’t make a difference. On the flipside, you can change someone’s life with your words in a very positive way. How does this relate to the Year of 30-Day Challenges and the SPEAK LIFE Challenge?
This month, I am going to tackle a neglected task. In Month 6 of A Year of 30-Day Challenges, I am going to Tackle a Neglected Task. This particular book is a futuristic sci-fi book and sci-fi is totally not my jam. The closest to sci-fi I’ve ever enjoyed is Marvel movies and I am sure most would say those aren’t even sci-fi.
Before I discuss this month’s challenge, let me tell you about November’s challenge. For those who are unfamiliar with NaNoWriMo, it is an international event where writers challenge themselves to write a full novel in thirty days. To be considered a “winner” you have to write 50,000 words of your novel within those thirty days and then verify the word count on the NaNoWriMo website. And the last two days of the whole challenge were both over 4,000 words just because I was ready to be done and pushed to finish a few days early.
