Vintage furniture thoughtfully refinished, thrifted and found home decor. Creating beauty on a budget.
It’s been awhile since I have shared a furniture makeover here on the blog, and I am so excited about this one! Here’s the before photo of a great empire dresser I found at the Goodwill last week. As I was at the Goodwill contemplating whether or not to buy this one, I ran into one of my sweet blog readers
It’s also time for another Cozy Living blog post with my blogging friends. Today, I’m sharing my cozy workspace styled for spring. Most of the original hardware was missing, so I added some pretty brushed gold campaign style pulls (unfortunately this style has been discontinued). The bookshelves are IKEA Billy bookshelves that I screwed together, trimmed out, and then added bead board backing.
If you wish to create a home that is cozy and peaceful (without the clutter! ), I have some ideas that might help you do just that. ** I made a quick list of words to describe how I want my home to feel this year. For me, a cluttered home is anxiety provoking, and the opposite of the nurturing space I want to create. One of my favorite Christmas presents this year was the book Cozy Minimalist Home by Myquillyn Smith.
It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s time for a Cozy Living post with my blogging friends. I found it at the thrift store, and was so drawn to the winter scene – a white farmhouse in the woods, a snow covered red barn, a couple walking past an icy pond pulling home a fresh cut Christmas tree. To cozy it up for the season, I added a couple of navy and red plaid pillows, which take the look from summer to winter. I hope you enjoyed touring Sadie’s cozy winter bedroom.
