Weekend Food Service Cook-Part-Time

HOW TO HELP Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency is currently hiring a Part-time Food Service Cook to prepare, cook, and serve meals and assist with meal planning in a residential setting for approximately 100 persons. The Food Service Cook provides excellent customer service when serving and interacting with clients and others and will follow agency and safe serve guidelines set by governing agencies. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; maintain appropriate amounts of ingredients ready for preparation and adapt meals to accommodate special dietary needs; Work with RBC staff to provide food/supplies and snacks for residents who are out of the shelter (i.e. work, appointments). Perform standard, daily cleaning preparation and storage guidelines set by Agency, KCMO Health department, USDA and FDA guidelines, Child Adult Care Food Program and pest control procedures.

Housing and Economic Advocacy Case Manager

HOW TO HELP Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Housing and Economic Advocacy Case Manager. This position is responsible for providing long-term strengths-based case management and supportive services promoting housing and economic stability for survivors of domestic violence. Strengths-based case management and advocacy services include assistance securing permanent housing and mainstream resources, assisting with personal goal planning and safety planning, advocacy with landlords and other community service providers, facilitating educational groups and individual sessions using the Economic Empowerment Program curriculum, and complete documentation and data entry of services and outcomes pertaining to Housing and Economic Advocacy Program services. to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion Other aspects of the position: Perform all job responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.

Overnight Shelter Advocate

The Shelter Advocate is responsible for providing survivor centered, equitable and inclusive, accessible, and trauma informed advocacy to residents of Rose Brooks Center. Time management skills and the flexibility and ability to prioritize job tasks Ability to provide services according to Rose Brooks Center’s values, beliefs, and philosophies centered on principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, and equity and inclusion. Proven ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team 1 year or more experience working in a residential setting or crisis intervention role Knowledge of trauma informed care and dynamics of domestic violence Valid driver’s license and ability to provide proof of automobile insurance Physical and Mental Demands/ Ability to see computer screen, read, and complete forms Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to the waist, push, pull, lift, bend, climb, reach, sit, walk and stand Ability to answer phone calls in a busy environment (hear callers and be responsive) Exposure to virus and other contagious diseases within shelter Ability to take personal responsibility for effects of trauma exposure to reduce negative impact on self and others Ability to work in a high intensity/fast paced work environment, being able to multi-task and prioritize

HOW TO HELP Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency seeks a full-time, exempt Therapist, reporting to the Director of Clinical Services. In this position and as needed, you will deliver individual assessments, individual and group therapy, and advocacy and support planning services to clients enrolled in the Shelter or Housing programs and for clients in the community as capacity allows. Principle responsibilities are: Provide trauma-informed, individual and group therapy services for residential and non-residential clients as elected. Provide consultation and clinical support to the shelter team in implementing trauma-informed mental health intervention for residents as needed.
