Beauty, travel and book blogger. I love tracking beauty trends, reviewing products and keeping my followers apprised of product releases and beauty news. I travel frequently within the US via car, train, and plane, sharing travel tips and product recommendations with my audience. I also have a podcast about dating and relationships; I conduct interviews with all kinds of people about topics ranging from online dating to the impact of single parenthood on relationships.
I started school, joined a coworking/networking space to maybe make some friends (virtual for now, but someday in real life), bought a new car, I’m job hunting, making more of an effort to plan things (like projects and study time), and spending less time doom-scrolling on social media. There was also plenty of doom in the run up to this inauguration, but I got very in my feelings about that as it was happening and since it does exactly nothing for my mental health, I try to keep it to a minimum. I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions this year, partly because I’m already actively doing the things I’d resolve to do (writing every day, changing my eating habits, working on finishing my degree), and partly because I’m usually just lying to myself (I know I’m never going to go to the gym every damn day

Hey y'all. It's been an emotional few days in my world, but I need to share something I've really been enjoying: The Regular Girl Reviews Podcast, hosted by the lovely and enigmatic Toni, aka @theregulargirlreviews. I "met" Toni back when I was first starting my blog, and she took me to task for my take on the Tarte foundation saga a few years ago, and ultimately the points she made helped change my mind on the issue. It's not every day that someone convinces me I'm wrong 🤣 . . . . Unsurprisingly, her podcast is much like the first exchange we had. Toni is intelligent, articulate and passionate about issues but also loves makeup. She has the voice for podcasting too. We need more Black voices in the beauty and podcasting communities and I'm so glad I get to listen to her rants. Check her out on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc. . . . #podcasts #blackwomeninmedia #beauty #podcastlife #blacklivesstillfuckingmatter #diversityandinclusioninmedia
