Beach Bar Dodo is one of Dubrovnik’s must experience locations. While droves of tourists pile into Buza bar, Dodo has managed to stay more of a local spot that doesn’t get too crowded. Bar Dodo calls itself a beach bar, most likely due to the small pebbled beach that it is right above. Want to remember Beach Bar Dodo on your next trip to Dubrovnik?

If you are heading to Dubrovnik, chances are you plan to ride the Dubrovnik cable car to the top of Mount Srd. The Best Time To Go The cable car opens daily at 9am regardless of season. After a few attempts to ride and being discouraged by the long lines in the middle of the day, I quickly learned that going first thing in the am is the ideal time if you wish to avoid large crowds and get to the top quickly. If you do decide to visit in the morning I suggest you head to the bakery right across from the Cable Car entrance.

While our villa in Dubrovnik was just a short 1,500 or so stairs from Old Town we managed to find that walking was usually our easiest way to navigate the city. The Old Fashioned Way Is The Best Way Since we had never visited Dubrovnik before we automatically assumed that getting around by taxi would be the most efficient and affordable way to get to our destination. While I know it isn’t always true for every destination, I do think that Uber is pretty consistent across the board when it comes to prices. I recommend downloading the Uber and Lyft apps prior to your travels and setting up an account in case the need arises that you will need to use them.

I think that Hotel Dubrovnik Palace would be great for a short weekend getaway to Dubrovnik.
