iBaby Monitor Review

We’ve been using the variety of baby products we bought or received while I was pregnant, and it’s a bit of trial and error to figure out While I was pregnant, I received an iBaby M7 Wifi baby monitor to test out and review here on the blog. The concept of a wifi baby monitor is just so cool to me, and after using the iBaby monitor I can say that’s it’s super convenient too! Extended use drains the battery of connected device While I think this monitor is beautifully designed and extremely convenient, David and I didn’t like how having a wifi monitor made us frequently check our phones.

Q&A: Three Month Old Baby Edition

It’s perfectly okay to know that in some seasons or even some days, you’ll spend more time focused on your family, and in some you’ll focus more on your work. Through some trial and error I’ve found that wearing Rob during his fussy phases (or when he’s resisting an evening nap) let’s me work on my laptop at the kitchen counter. I love how easy it is (now that I don’t want to cry out from pain every time) and that there’s no dishes or things to clean up. Now at 14 weeks, he’s ready for sleep at the same time each night and wakes up close to the same time every morning

Fourth Trimester Favorites

We’ve followed his methods for caring for Rob (along with some others I’ll share below) and I feel like it really has made Rob such a happy baby. I highly, highly recommend that dads watch the videos as well; it’s been so helpful having David on the same page for our “sleep training” (not really training… more like sleep-routine-establishing haha). While Rob is sleeping in our room we use the Hatch sound machine (and will move it to his nursery when he’s there), and on the go we use this rechargeable white noise machine by Marpac because it clips onto the stroller. I’ve read plenty of moms who swear by it and have their babies sleep in the RNP for months, but I’ve also read that extended use can cause some head/neck issues in babies and make the crib transition tough.

Soft and Neutral Nursery Reveal

I knew right away that I didn’t want to do the traditional nursery animals (baby animals, safari animals, etc) but instead wanted quirky and playful like the otomi animals on the pendant. We chose a white metal crib to add some interest and texture, plus it’s convertible to grow with Rob! Instead of heavy decor above the crib, I opted for soft felt animal heads that kept with my inspiration. The nursery isn’t getting much use while Rob sleeps in our room for the next couple of months, but I’m already so excited to lay him to sleep in his crib!
