Maybe for Mother’s Day (or a birthday, anniversary or just because, I’m an awesome wife + Mom). Of course Mother’s Day is all about spending time with loved ones, but out of the ordinary gifts for extraordinary bougie moms are always fun. * Scarf: I love the simple femininity of scarfs; designer scarfs are of such great quality and design, they make a great gift. A good pair of stud earrings are a staple for every woman – these make for a great gift (especially because my first initial is V! ).
We also ensured the hotel we stayed at included parking in our hotel stay, so we wouldn’t have to pay extra for parking. We got a really nice suite which had a great city view and saved costs in parking and breakfast which were included in the price. If you’re looking to check out a museum, I’d recommend the Vancouver Art Gallery in Downtown. The dining room looked super chic and the food has gotten rave reviews, I would highly recommend making a reservation or opt to try a drink/apps at their bar.
Don’t be fooled by the big brands, Absolut works great, and if you have a Costco card, they have incredible store-brand vodka, but if you’re looking for taste and looks, I recommend Luksusowa Vodka. You don’t exactly need both, but for those that love a good inexpensive bourbon, try Rebel Yell which can be found for as low as $12 and even be found at Trader Joes. These really depend on preference, but ginger ale, ginger beer (for the ever-popular Moscow mules), vermouth, tonic water, club soda, margarita mix, lemons, limes even cranberry juice is great to have on hand. * Total Wines has great selection of alcohol, while Bevmo tends to send out the most coupons, and Trader Joe’s always has great deals worth checking out.
I had been on the hunt for a cute, inexpensive, compact bar cart for a while and when I came across this Target marble bar cart, I knew I had to purchase it. Especially because it was on sale, although when I bought it, it was $60, however it went down to as low as $38 online (! ). I was gifted the cute coasters, bought the swirly straws from Target ($3-$4) and bought fun napkins ($2 on clearance) and gold picks ($6) from HomeGoods. Adding fun colorful pieces are great, such as an interesting print, books or fresh flowers which can easily help fill the bar cart with a fun flare.
