The decision had already been made that she was going to have a good day. When I coached cross country, we always told the kids that the decision had already been made that they were going to run 6 out of 7 days a week. Sometimes I wonder what motherhood would be like if we decided the decision has already been made that we are going to have a joyful day with our kids. Surrender our old way of seeing so when our kids come home and spend 30 minutes running around the house, laughing (with intermittent whining mind you), that our home is filled with sacred joy.

I often let my expectations of what a specific season should like or what the outcome should be only to miss God’s leading in the middle. We’ll walk through seven different areas in our lives and what it looks like to not only surrender them to the Lord but to embrace His truth instead.
