We helped clean up The Great Canadian shoreline with the #mostgivingcompany in Canada

Since 2000, TELUS, team members and retirees have contributed $1.2 billion, through $690 million in financial support and 1.3 million days of volunteerism, to create stronger, healthier communities. This past year alone, TELUS has given seven percent of its pre-tax profits to Canadian charitable organizations to create stronger, healthier communities and supported two million youth through the TELUS Future Friendly Foundation, establishing TELUS as the #MostGivingCompany in Canada. G Day- The “Village” it takes to raise a child

If you’re unfamiliar with G Day events they are designed to inspire positive self-esteem and supportive family and community relationships during the key phase in life when girls are entering adolescence. G Day is designed to build girls’ self-esteem, as well as compassion and respect for other girls,” says G Day Founder Madeleine Shaw Rather than seeing this as a dreadful time for girls and their caregivers, G Day’s mission is to help girls celebrate how special this time in their life is. It’s like a modern day village where girls can come together to celebrate their uniqueness and coming of age and where parents, caregivers, and champions can learn ways to support the girls during this special time in their lives.

Improve a child’s life with just the click of a button

From now until June 2, you can help deliver bicycles to students living in rural Ghana, simply by visiting thebicyclefactory.ca and creating virtual bike parts, daily. For every 100 virtual bike parts created, one bike will be delivered to a child in Ghana. Since 2008, the Cadbury Bicycle Factory has inspired Canadians to build and deliver 31,000 bikes, which have turned these long, unbearable walks to school into shorter rides. By reducing the commute time, students are able to attend class on time, have more energy and reach new heights in education.

I met my Vancouver Sun Run goal with the help of a personal trainer from Club16 Trevor Linden Fitness

You can read about how I felt after participating in the Vancouver Sun Run last year in this Instagram post below: When Spring rolled around this year, I felt confident and ready to take part in the Vancouver Sun Run again, but this time, with a running goal. I let him know I wanted to run up the hill on the bridge at the 9 KM mark on the Sun Run route. Last year, that hill killed me, but this year I wanted to kill it! I’m so happy to say that all of the help I received to meet this year’s Sun Run goal paid off!
