When you thought wash-and-go season was over, but the curls call you back… Just when I had put away my wash-and-go gels and pulled out my roller set essentials, the soft, textured definition, bounce, and volume of the wash-and-go tempestuously called my name. No, but seriously, how could I resist, with such a versatile line of products from @nourishandshinebeauty giving me so many styling options? 🌻The Frizzless Curl Primers, and Curl Defining and Elongating creams are made for various hair types. This is an absolute plus, especially when you are dealing with multiple curl patterns on one head of hair. Since I had the option, I decided to do a little experimentation with the various styling combinations. 🌻 In the very back, near the nape of my neck, I have very tight coils that are very dense and can be pretty coarse. I decided to test out the Frizzless Foaming Primer in conjunction with the Curl Defining Cream for curls & coils. The foam definitely reduced my frizz, and the cream provided a soft, bouncy definition for my coils. 🌻 From the crown of my head to the very front, my curls take on a looser s-curl-like shape and are a bit softer. For these areas, I decided to try my luck with the Liquid Gel Curl Primer in combination with the Incredible Curls Cream for waves & curls. Make Be sure you to hit the bookmark🔖 for quick reference later.👆🏽 🌺Opt for protective styles Keeping your ends tucked away from the dry cold air is key to keeping your hair healthy and manageable during this season. Something simple like mini twists or a quick updo is perfect. 🌺Add a layer of protection Our favorite sweaters, scarves, 🧣caps and knit hats are great at protecting us from the cold, but typically bad for our hair. Wearing a silk or satin scarf underneath these items can keep from snags and drying out your ends. 🌺Try Steaming for Moisture 💦 The warm water particles from steam are the best at penetrating and hydrating you natural hair. This is especially good when you add your favorite deep conditioner to the mix! 🌺Use an Anti-humectant to Seal Sealing your ends with an oil or butter after properly hydrating is a great way to lock in moisture and add a protective barrier. I love using castor oil over my leave in and before my styler. If you have finer strands, you may opt for something lighter like olive or grape seed oil. 🪔 🌺 Add a protective layer or lining Our favorite sweaters, scarves, 🧣 knit caps and hats are great at protecting us from the cold, but typically bad for our hair.
