Swedish Actor Sentenced To More Than 15 Years For Enticing Brevard Minor To Engage

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – United States District Judge Wendy W. Berger sentenced Joaquin Nabi Olsson, 46, of Stockholm, Sweden to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison for using the internet and social media to entice and persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity in Brevard County.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Emily C. L. Chang and was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
