Add the yeast mixture to the spiced flour mixture and enough additional water to form a slightly firm dough. Warm a large frying pan or skillet, add oil, and warm until shimmery. Add the drained chickpeas and cut potato, and stir to coat with the spice mixture and cook for another five minutes. Finally, assemble your doubles by placing one bara on a plate, spooning the chickpea filling on it and then place another bara on top.

seriously, this is the best banana bread I’ve ever made! I’ve tried MANY banana bread recipes it’s a recipe from Martha Stewart (with some modifications including making if GF/gluten free) but it’s definitely a must try! it makes one loaf or 12 muffins and it’s a perfect addition for your morning breakfast or weekend brunch!
