We all love traveling and exploring new cultures, we are taking beautiful photos on the road, eat exotic food and experience a sense of pure freedom. Maybe because I just ignored them in the past, put them into a box labeled “cultural differences, don’t judge” and avoided my responsibility as a traveler. But here is the question: Are we responsible as travelers or do we get a wildcard and don’t have to worry about such things? Shouldn’t we also spend some time thinking about what image we share on social media, how our environmental foot prints look like and how we might reinforce inequalities when we spend money in hotels where people work under terrible conditions?
I went to the art museum, the anatomy museum and the antique museum in Basel. Especially the art museum and the anatomy museum were a real “wow-moment The red pin represents the anatomy museum while the yellow one is the art museum in Basel. My life has changed the past months and with change, I really mean changed. I moved out of my parents, about 400km to a new city, began my life at a new school, lost a lot of friends, gained even more and yes things are changing. With all that change I somehow felt like I am drowning, too many things took place in my life at the same time and asked for all of my attention. So for the beginning, let’s start with one new blog article per week.
Today I want to start with a new series of posts and it is about how beautiful Spain, more exactly Cantabria, is and how I traveled there for under 300€ for 7 days! Beautiful beaches, small ancient towns, high mountains and delicious food are only some things you find in Cantabria. The locals told me when it’s season Noja turn into a very vivid place but for sure the prices increases as well. In the next post I will tell you something about the capital of Cantabria – Santander – and about the stunning mountains, you can find also in Cantabria.
