There is a lot that needs to be organised for a smooth and successful vacation and you certainly want to make sure that it is a relaxing experience. It is a smart idea to check your airline’s luggage restrictions so that you can work out what you can take on holiday with you and whether or not you need to add hold luggage. This could include exchanging currency, transferring money to an account specifically for overseas spending to avoid charges and noticing your bank of the dates that you will be abroad. This might include having somebody to come over to look after the pets and water the plants, cancelling any deliveries and notifying your neighbours that you will be away for a while.
Last week Gabe enjoyed his second taster session at school, and Toby was a superstar performing in his class assembly. That’s all dependent on our neighbours though (he’s doing the work on his own garden and ours at the same time) and it keeps getting delayed, so the garden was looking a bit like a jungle! Toby has been scared of cats for a while now, but this one is really friendly and we actually managed to convince Toby that it really wasn’t going to do him any harm. So now we’re in July – only a few more weeks of school and nursery for the boys, plus Toby’s birthday, a joint party for the boys, and both mine and Barry’s
I took Gabe’s Living Arrows picture this week when he was out on his bike in the street yesterday. We’re lucky that we live on a quiet cul-de-sac so the boys can safely play in the street, or cycle on the road without any danger. Toby is still tired and emotional this week, and that means there’s a lot of squabbling with his brother going on. and I are going to see Book of Mormon in Manchester, but apart from that I don’t think there’s an awful lot for happening for us.
I can’t believe we’re almost half way through the year already! After our long half term the boys had a full week back at school and nursery last week, and despite having just had a holiday they seemed to be very tired and emotional this weekend. Despite it being a bit of an unusual week and being tired Toby managed to pass another level at swimming last week. so Gabe and I went out for lunch while Toby was at the party.
