Be the good. <3 . Lake Country Family Fun has always had a local charitable component since its inception, nine years ago, built into our mission statement. Most recently, the ladies of Lake Country Family Fun have been so inspired by so many in our community and blessed to be in a position to contribute to the betterment of our communities. And after many conversations with our team, with our readers, with @julieacoughlin , an amazing hope giver and cheerleader, we landed on a plan. . Last week Friday, April 24, we had the opportunity to exercise goodness out in the community. We partnered with the ProHealth Care Foundation, Chick-fil-A Pewaukee, and Chick-fil-A Delafield to deliver 70 meals to local hospital staff in Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Ocnomowoc. . We hope this encourages more people to #bethegood in our communities. To be proud at the end of the day of the conversations that occurred, to be proud of the actions that were taken, to be proud of surviving yet another day of parenting and staying close to home. National Library Week {April 19-25} . How fitting that our closed libraries have the ability to start opening (offer curbside pickup on April 24) during National Library week? I don't know about you, but I love to hold a book. {I was like that before the current situation} There is something about holding a physical book and turning pages, being unplugged... . However, even with the curbside pickup option, I don't know if I will be actually going to my local library to pick up a physical book at this time. I do have a library book or two to return. Instead of a fun photo shoot planned by our own Megan and @beth.boyke.photography , I laid down and enjoyed sidewalk art work by my oldest. . Instead of a fun giveaway to gift in person at the charity ride, we are hosting a 40 day at-home challenge on Facebook from April 16 through May 26 and giving away gift cards to local small businesses and @fleetfarmofficial . . Instead of hugging and high fives with actual humans, we are sending virtual love to all the families in the greater Lake Country and Waukesha County area🤗 .
