I had a wedding in the San Francisco area, and by luck happened to meet this amazing couple, Linda and Ken. I mentioned that I’d love to set up a styled elopement with a couple, and they were totally up for it! But they were really excited to meet me and help me make some beautiful elopement style photos in the bay area. The Rocky Mountain National Park requires a permit to have a wedding ceremony, and you choose from specific, designated locations. They wanted to do a First Look, where they got dressed separately and then got to see each other for the first time in their wedding outfits as a special little surprise. I made sure we had all the essential items like: ice cleats, lots of water, high-calorie snacks, canned oxygen, first aid items, rain gear and maps. I just want you to know what it’s like to have the most incredible, drama-free, unforgettable wedding day ever!

For this session we went to a secret location on the shores of Lake Michigan, near South Haven. Alyssa and TJ knew this was the spot they wanted, from the minute we started talking about it. It’s special to them because they spent lots of time hanging out and partying with friends here. You can back them up by manually copying the folder they’re in to a cloud-based storage like Dropbox or Google Drive, or you can do an automatic backup of your computer with programs like Backblaze or Carbonite. I like it because it’s easy to use (I’m certainly not a computer wizard) and it’s simple to retrieve your files if you need to get to them. Another way to backup your computer files is to use an external hard drive like this. If you really want piece of mind, do what I do and backup your files twice- one copy to cloud storage and one copy to an external hard drive, and keep a copy readily accessible on your computer-
