” I also asked for a Women’s Health Physical Therapist referral during my postpartum appointment, and am excited for my first appointment in a few weeks. I haven’t worn “normal” clothes in almost a year and I really think putting on a pair of jeans and a shirt that’s not oversized or maternity will make me feel like a new woman. I’m trying to give myself some grace and not put pressure on myself to get back to “pre-baby” size, so I ordered a few pairs of jeans in my “new” size and a few t-shirt nursing bras just so I can feel human again, haha. We’re also scheduling a family photoshoot soon, so I need to get some clothes that fit my new found curves (thanks breastfeeding, haha).
We’ve had two weeks at home with our little Jack, and I finally found some time to write down all of our memories from his birth. So, without further ado, here is how Jack came into the world… Anxiously awaiting Jack’s arrival (and almost a week overdue), I was doing everything Brian and I could think of to get labor started. While the almost fainting part wasn’t fun, the ride up to the recovery floor was made very memorable because I got to push the button that alerted the rest of the hospital of Jack’s birth! Our first few days home were a little rocky and ended up with us rushing Jack to the doctor, as well as taking me to the ER because of some swelling in my legs and slight pain in my chest.
Since the beginning of the year, I have been working with my friend Sarah at Boss Babe by Sarah to update my branding, website and (drum roll please…) services! Creating a cohesive brand was so important to me when launching this as a business, and I’m so happy with how Sarah took my vision and made it a reality! I am so excited to finally have a customized site that can evolve with my business and help you guys navigate my services and the blog. From planning a simple weekend road trip, to researching destinations outside of the US, I am here to help you plan your next dream vacation.
But, while compiling my 2020 review and thinking back on all the bad things that will forever be associated with 2020, I was reminded that not ALL of 2020 was so terrible. So, I thought, let’s end the year reflecting on some of the things that got us through the tough times.
