Humans are creatures of habit and everything that we do, at some point, whether knowingly or unknowingly have adopted all that we do every day into habits and that is why we repeat them day in and day out. The goals are not the hurdles, they are not the reasons why people quit and walk away, it is the actual process of achieving those goals that make or break people. Often times people quit if they do not achieve goals by a certain time and they wholeheartedly believe it was because of the goal itself, instead it was the actual process or lack thereof. Setting and achieving goals can happen at any point of your life during any time of the year, it does not have to happen at the beginning of the year.
Positive self-talk does not come naturally for most people, for most people that requires practice, discipline and the willingness to out-talk your negative thoughts when they show up. It is entirely up to you and only you to drive out negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. and that is when we are so engulfed in our own negative self-talk, we express that in the way we speak to others. Positive self-talk not only gives ourselves permission to shine our light but it also gives others permission to shine their own light.
The year is a little beyond the half way point, but there is still a lot of time before the year ends. Every day can be a new beginning to start anew never stay stuck in what has already happened and what you cannot change make plans to do what you can to bring a different outcome. Start setting small goals in a bid to complete those large goals. It does not matter whether the goal is to become the best salesman in your company or to learn a new language or Start that business.
