Mother’s Day Surprises were in order this year! I was able to see my Mom, Step-Father Mark, & Granny for the first time in a YEAR and a HALF (COVID’s fault) I was finishing up a fabulous beach trip in Gulf Shores and planned a little pit stop at home to see them all! Mark was able to convince those two to meet up at @bluegill_restaurant and luckily no questions were asked! My Mom actually spotted me walking in the parking lot🥰. Luckily, all the tears were held off until the end when I had to say goodbye again. I had my absolute favorite fish dish- Mahi Mahi topped with their crawfish royale cream sauce. Really made me feel home again. This may be one of my favorite Mother’s Days ever, such a special point in time! When I hugged her bye, I held on so long, something I hope you all do! We just never know the next time you might get that chance! When your friend’s OOTD happens to be items you have in your closet!! Thanks to my girl @the_savvy_southerner I was dressed perfectly & comfortably for cocktails at my favorite spot! Cocktails were taken to a whole new level with the European inspired cocktail class at the @the_briar_patch_livingston take a look at the lineup and pick your favorite! First up we headed to Spain with a Rebujito made with Madeira that we paired with tamales. For the second course we headed to France with a Vieux Carré with duck pate on crudités and drunken goat cheese. Before moving on to dessert we popped on over to Italy! We had a Negroni paired with pepperoni & jalapeño flatbread. My ultimate favorite was our dessert cocktail which was Spanish inspired. It was a Aqua de Seville which tasted like a banana & orange push pop!😋 The class was so much fun and we all had plenty of yummy tapas!
