Hi. My name is KD. I'm a travel enthusiast and aspirant photographer on a quest to travel to at least fifty different countries. I plan on doing this while maintaining my nine to five. Why? Because I crave and thrive on stability. Plus, as much as I love travel, I’d like to save. Hence why I’m a budget traveler.

I traveled out of the country for the first time 10 years ago. Ever since then I’ve had an incurable case of wanderlust. As an introvert, I love that travel takes me outside of my comfort-zone. I can think of no greater way to challenge myself or learn about the world than to explore it.

Through my blog, She Wanderlusts, I hope to inspire, encourage, and showcase the world as I’ve seen it. To do so, I chronicle the details of travel–the good, the bad, and everything in between.

For example, if you’re on a weight-loss journey and one day you eat excessively, you might become self-critical by saying something like, “ For example, upward comparison—which occurs when you compare yourself to someone you perceive as superior—can improve your life by showing you that something is possible or motivate you to make positive changes in your life.

THE CORONAVIRUS DISRUPTED MY LIFE; THIS CHANGED MY PERSPECTIVE

So, years ago, I set a goal to use all of my paid-vacation to travel internationally at least two times per year. Soon thereafter, the vast majority of states within the U. S. implemented stay-at-home orders, asking everyone except for essential workers or those in unique circumstances to stay indoors. It’s time to stop, stop and think of ourselves, think of everyone else too. So I will just revel in the memories I’ve made while traveling these past several years and wait until it’s safe to travel again; to make new memories; to resume my passion.

Visiting the National Mosque of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur

Brief History of the National Mosque of Malaysia Built from 1963-1965, many of Masjid Negara’s iconic features such as the bright bluish green roof and the towering minaret resemble umbrellas. Getting to the National Mosque of Malaysia Getting to the National Mosque is most easily accomplished by taking a taxi. Once we recuperated, we wandered around to view Kuala Lumpur’s National Orchid Garden containing over 120 species of orchid. After enjoying the calmness of the mosque, consider stopping to enjoy the lush green vegetation at Kuala Lumpur’s Perdana Botanical Gardens, Bird Park, Deer Park, and Butterfly Garden.
