As Jackson started kindergarten, I felt like I had been punched in the gut every single time I wasn’t able to make it to an event. We started distance learning (that word will be a trigger for me for the rest of my days; distance learning was NOT our friend), and I started working full time from home. While the circumstances were a literal nightmare, I also found myself thrown into the unique position of being able to learn what it is actually like to work from home. Our boys are still in school and will go to daycare this summer (this is 100% a JOB and believe every blogger who tells you they work at least 40 hours per week!)

This is what #easter2020 looked like for us. No real clothes, lots of time on the couch. We did Easter baskets, an egg hunt in the yard, opened baskets from grandma and grandpa, had auntie Katie drop off a gift for the boys, and had a dinner of ham and cheesy potatoes with lemon icebox cake for dessert. I hope the boys don’t have many memories of #covid19, but I also know we created memories for them today even if it wasn’t what I hoped for the day. Jackson told me he was having a fun Easter’ today. It may have snowed yesterday, but on Wednesday it was 70 degrees and we got the boys out of the house for the first time in weeks and went on a walk at one of our favorite parks. It was SO good for the soul, seeing the river flowing with all of the ice out is one of the best things about spring in Minnesota! There is no school today so I took off of work, and I’m so excited for some lazy snuggles and time with these boys today! ❤️
