Today is about crafting cocktails and hosting a holiday party in style with a little help from @stgermaindrinks . I am super excited to have attended The Salon St-Germain, a gathering of such beautiful and creative minds, hosted by @madamebleu_stgermain , @sashabikoff , and @hiltoncarter . They walked us through how to tastefully elevate a holiday cocktail moment with a few key tips and tricks, from arranging tableware, selecting flowers and plants, to glassware and garnishes. Plus this custom St-Germain martini is a perfect addition next time you hold a get together, overall this was an amazing event! A christmas story accompanied with a sipper libation, well that sounds like a great way to unwind and end the night. I just recently got my hands on a new bottle of Pineau Des Charentes Blanc, a blend of organic eau-de-vie and white grapes aged for 18 months in oak barrels. Just the perfect balance to berry flavors to create a spirit forward forward cocktail worth of many bed-time stories. Victoria 1 oz Cognac 1 oz Pineau Des Charentes Blanc 1/4 oz Mandarine Liqueur 1/4 oz Barolo Chinato Vermouth 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters #Sponsored #PineauDesCharentes
The weather definitely got a little chilly, so let's warm up with a toasty hot toddy. For this particular recipe, I wanted to create a cocktail with a dark fruit underlying taste, and a delicate spiced aroma. The spirit that complements such profile is definitely Pineau Des Charentes, the complex bouquet of aromas of pears, quints, and grapes, just makes this recipe the ideal libation to keep your spirit warmed and elevated. @pineau_academy Morning Glory 1 oz Pineau De Charentes Blanc 1/2 oz Cognac 1/4 Pear Liqueur 1/2 oz Lemon Juice 3 oz Hot Cherry Tea 1 Tea Spoon Grape Preserve Garnish with Orange Wheel, Cinnamon, and Glove. #Sponsored #PineauDesCharentes
There’s a chill in the air, which means it’s time to add the wintery flavors of fig and plum to your pre-dinner drink. I envisioned the Haunted Mind for this exact situation! Featuring Pineau Des Charentes, the Haunted Mind will warm the cockles of your heart right before dinner by the campfire. Haunted Mind 1 1/2 oz Pineau Des Charentes Blanc 1/2 oz Cognac 3/4 oz Lemon Juice 3/4 oz Plum Juice 1/2 oz Grilled Fig Syrup Cut Figs in half and place them on a grill for about 8 minutes, flip them on their side every 2 minutes. In a saucepan bring water to boil and add the sugar, figs, and cinnamon stick. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes stirring continuously. Using a muddler, gently muddle the figs and continue to stir. Turn off the heat and allow for the mixture to cool off. Strain, and store in the refrigerator. #Sponsored . 🎥 @pdxcw
Your favorite holiday activity???? Mine is decorating cookies while drinking whiskey. Even though I am pretty bad at it, decorating cookies that is, it just relaxes me, brings great memories, and creates new ones with friends. Plus there is a secret drinking game involved, but more about that later. Today I wanted to talk about the newest release by @glyph.spirit ; Glyph Royal. Through their note-by-note process, they are able to create a spirit overnight reminiscent of Old World Scotch. Glyph Royal is full-bodied and reveals a hint of burnt sugar, which opens up to almond skin and sherry notes, with a subtle end of citrus. If you're a coffee or dried fruit fan, this spirit was made for you. With those flavors in mind, I created a sour that represents winter. And more importantly, a cocktail I get to drink with my cookies! Enjoy! Royal Throne 2 oz Glyph Royal 1 oz Lemon Juice 1/2 oz Fig Syrup 1/2 oz Birch Liqueur 2 Dashes Dark Fruit Bitters 1 Egg White #Sponsored #GlyphSpirit #MolecularSpirits
2020 has been intensed, but don't flip your marbles yet, let's start with the cocktail. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term (flip) was first used in 1695 to describe a mixture of beer, rum, and sugar, heated with a red-hot iron. The iron caused the drink to froth, and this frothing (or "flipping") engendered the name. Over time, eggs were added and the proportion of sugar increased, the beer was eliminated, and the drink ceased to be served hot. ABC Flip 1/4 oz Angostura Bitters 1 oz Bertoux Brandy 1 oz Cynar 70 1 whole Egg 1/2 oz Marshmallow Syrup 1/2 oz Cream

Pineau des Charentes is considered fortified wine, the ideal spirit to sip after a meal. So why not turning it into a dessert itself. Embrace yourself as the combination of poached pears and Pineau des Charentes is formidable. Just make sure you use Pineau to poach the pears, and add 2 ounces when serving them. An amazing show stopper! #Sponsored #pineaudescharentes
My favorite time of the day is when I get to try new spirits and play with them, and Glyph Spice, the new release by @glyph.spirit has just awakened my inner child. Inspired by Bourbon, Glyph Spice is a medium-bodied spirit with notes of cinnamon bark, cherry, oak spice, toffee, caramel undernotes, and banana aroma. With all those amazing flavors in mind, I went with a hot cocoa cocktail so the transition into winter is as soft and warm as the spirit itself. Spikedmellow 2 oz @glyph.spirit Spice 3 oz Hot Whole Milk (or substitute) 2 Spoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder 1/2 oz Marshmallow Syrup 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur #Sponsored #GlyphSpirit #MolecularSpirits
