#AD Summer is officially here, and I know for many students it’s a time to enjoy the weekends, travel and do the things they love. So I had to present at our new teacher orientation on last Friday and sporadically this brother walked up to me with these words of affirmation: “You may not know me but I know you through your former students. You had them in 5th grade and I had them in middle school. I know of you as the Dope Educator but I learned who you are through your reputation from the students. The students told me that through you they saw possibilities. Keep doing what you’re doing. Some people may mistake your advancements as clout chasing or using children to get on, but I witness first hand how your impact and the exposure you allow them to experience created hope and belief for them. You gave them a greater sense of identity and something to look forward to. I knew it was real when I saw the gap hoodies everyday. Keep doing what you’re doing. God allows you to keep advancing because he knows who’s connected to and watching you, and because he knows he can trust you!” @_emthree_ thank you again for those words of affirmation, and thank you for helping to prepare the lives of our next generation of leaders.
