Launched in 2016, The Shaz Diaries has evolved to continue sharing health and wellness content, inspiring the busy woman on-the-go to live her happiest and healthiest life. I work in public health by day and create content by night. Writing has always been therapeutic for me, but over the years, I've grown to become fond of planning and creating content across all social media platforms.
As an immigrant and POC, it can be rather difficult to see women like me in this health/wellness space, and I strive to change this paradigm. While I am all about creating pretty content, I am leaning towards shooting more "raw" and real imagery/videos to tell a story - that I'm just like any other relatable early career professional seeking my own version of wellness.
Some brands I've worked with include but aren't limited to: Organic Valley, Blush Wellness, Ekoa, Orgain Protein, and Wild Joy Goods. I hope to continue cultivating partnerships with brands who not only live and breathe wellness and social justice, but brands I can form long-lasting relationships with as we navigate the marketing space together. My overall goal is to utilize my platform to continue promoting my efforts to sustaining a healthy lifestyle while juggling a 9-5 but to also continue having real conversations with my community.

NEW FACES ON HERE — HIII, I’M SHAZIE! 🤍 i call 3 places home — Singapore, LA, and Boston 🏠 so if i’m going to any of these places, i’ll just say “i’m going home” bc they’re home to me in different ways 🥹 🤍 i started my lifestyle blog in 2016 when i needed something FUN aside from my clinical research job in LA (who knew me back then?? lol) which has since then morphed into a wellness blog… and now i love sharing all things self-love + holistic wellness 🩷 🤍 it took me 6 years to graduate college bc i couldn’t decide between majors + honestly HATED school (im looking at you, OCHEM!!) bc i thought pharmacy was my only option 😂 ended up pursuing my MPH, which is how i ended up in Boston + now slowly honoring my love for the wellness space. 🤍 i got into EFT tapping bc i was craving something beyond the typical mindset work. growing up, my circumstances were HARD which negatively shaped how I viewed myself & the world. bc of how tapping has helped me, i now love sharing this simple yet powerful tool with others and plan on expanding my knowledge to continue sharing! 🤍 lastly, i love watching + listening to 90’s/00’s shows/music bc that was my fav era… plus i love that feeling of comfort + knowing how things end. a deeper part of me knows that it’s bc THIS era brought the MOST change in my life (moving to a new country, being on survival mode, etc) and i will forever have this chapter to thank for my resilience. maybe that’s why I love Gasolina so much? 😅🥹🤪 YOUR TURN! what are a few fun random things about you?! 😍 📸 @stephanie_rita #bostonwellness #wellnessjourney #efttapping #growthjourney #immigrantstories

Here’s a secret: I sometimes find myself cheering others more than I do myself bc honestly, it’s a lot easier pouring into others. When you’re accustomed to think a certain way about yourself, it’s easy to ROB yourself of the love + kindness I love writing things down on paper, but I also love creating a digital vision board. Whatever your past may be, where you are right now, and where you think you’re headed, I hope you always allow yourself to believe you deserve to live your most abundant life.
I’m just going to say this for the people in the back — being a good friend/relative does NOT mean you need to be available all the time. Whether it’s my inability to focus on big projects due to continuous interruptions/notifications or getting texts from people trying to vent about something that you KNOW you do not have the bandwidth for, there comes a point where you just have to hit the pause button. I also started changing my status on Teams, so people know I’m not exactly available to respond even if my calendar is open. I don’t want to continue feeling like I need to explain myself if I’m simply not up for socializing.
I pivoted between majors, I worked a retail job that sucked the life out of me, and I felt like I was going nowhere. Not only was I already behind, but it also took me 3 years to transfer from a community college, AND I stayed an extra year after I transferred bc I’ve seen and experienced judgment in my college years for not succeeding in classes I would pull all-nighters for, but what many fail to realize is the behind-the-scenes that we don’t often get to show. Proud of juggling school and work, to work for a part-time income and not have to bother my single mom, to balancing family and social life.
Let us backtrack — after finding out I gained weight, I went to embark on this weight loss journey. I’m talking consistent noon time workouts, sticking to a strict meal plan, being super restrictive with myself (aka ditching Ben & Jerry’s!!), etc. I mean, I’m out here giving tips and sharing stories promoting healthier and happier lives for busy women on-the-go I was unfit to bear this image of self-love and acceptance when deep down inside, I allowed the number on that scale dictate my worth.
