Whether you are visiting the city of Helsinki or Tallinn, you can reach the other with a short and pleasant ferry ride. I was already attending the music and arts festival Flow Festival in Helsinki, so I decided to stop in and visit Tallinn for a couple of days as well. After arriving in Helsinki, if you’re in need of someplace to store some bulky luggage for a bit, the Helsinki Central Station has a lot of lockers that are available for rent. Tallinn, Estonia’s old town has a way of making even the worst afternoons good.
You can visit the port of Laem Chabang, enjoy a trip to the island of Ko Kood, before moving on to Vietnam where you can explore Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Da Nang, and the majestic and beautiful Ha Long Bay. The final port of call where you disembark is in Mumbai, and along the way you can enjoy the sights and activities on offer in Phuket, Thailand, and experience Rangoon in Myanmar, as well as Colombo in Sri Lanka. You can enjoy a 15-night cruise that will let you experience some of the best travel destinations that Asia has to offer and it will be a trip that you will undoubtedly remember for a long time to come. Typically, you will visit countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Malta, Spain, and usually ending in London in the UK.
Recently, I had an 8 hour layover in New York and decided to see just what could be done, between getting from the Newark airport to the city and making it back in time, to catch an international flight, without a huge budget. These things include Central Park, the New York Public Library, Grand Central Station, 30 Rock, the Flatiron Building and more! One of the great things about NYC is that good pizza isn’t hard to find! The weather can change quite quickly, and you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of Central Park with no umbrella or rain jacket.
