Fun time last night celebrating 80 years of a beautiful couple last night at the Huntington Library in Pasadena. I love my family 😍

NEW ARTICLE ON WEBSITE! It’s not often that a wine region feels like it’s a secret, especially in California. Santa Maria Valley, in Central California, is tucked into the northern edge of Santa Barbara County. Somehow, this romantic oasis has managed to keep itself out of screaming headlines, allowing visitors to quietly enjoy Santa Maria wineries, the world’s best barbecue, and quiet beaches. Mother’s Day weekend started with this guy taking me on a date and bowling with his left hand to give me a chance. He still managed to get a strike with his handicap! Then today we took my mom to brunch in Santa Monica followed by my favorite local activity, biking on the beach boardwalk between Venice and Santa Monica. Though mom doesn’t ride, the boys took turns riding with her on a three wheeled bike with a bench seat. I got to share all my growing up stories with the boys as we passed points from my childhood. It was a yummy and wonderful day in the sun with the one who gave me life, the one who gave me love and the ones who showed me a kind of love I had no idea existed until I brought them into this world. So grateful. Hope all the moms had an incredible day whatever that looks like for them! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #santamonicabeach #venicebeach #bikingadventures #mothersday #mothersdayfun #beachgirl #bowlingfun

Saturday afternoon at @beachlifefestival was much more chill than Friday night. I assume it’ll be the same for Sunday. It was nice sitting on the sidelines and listening to music while snacking and having cocktails. The music festival is very family friendly. We saw kids running around playing corn hole and jenga and dancing to the music…. Or rather running, jumping, twisting and rolling in the grass. The adults were very well behaved. Next year we might bring the boys. Maybe. I have to say it was nice waking up to quiet in our beachfront hotel room and eating breakfast on the boardwalk. So it might become a tradition. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #familytrip #beachlifefestival #redondobeach #hermosabeach #musicfestival #beachmusicfestival #couplegoals

Who needs Coachella when you have BeachLife Fest a few miles away and can stay at an oceanfront hotel in between days? Three stages. A variety of incredible food vendors. Craft beers and a bar. Sting was the headliner tonight ❤️ ☀️☀️☀️☀️ @beachlifefestival #beachlifevibes #beachlifefestival #musicfestivals #familymusic #familymusicfestival #familytravel #redondobeach

The whole reason we were inspired to visit the Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Mexico is because of their annual celebration of the Jewish holiday of Passover. I’m going to be honest with you. I hate the part of Passover where you clean your house and dispose of all the bread related products. Sometimes we’ll give it to our neighbors to hold onto for the week during which it’s prohibited to eat bread. Why you might ask is it prohibited to eat bread for a week? I’m glad you asked. Thousands of years ago when the Jewish people were enslaved to Pharaoh and the Egyptians, G-d and Moses saved them by putting intense pressure on Pharaoh with the ten plagues. It was pretty gnarly. Google it if you want the full story. But while the Jewish people were escaping, they had to leave in a rush. There was no time to let their bread dough rise. They had to put all their stuff on their backs and carts and get the heck out of Egypt before Pharaoh changed his mind. Which he did. And then the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea which saved their lives. Every year Jewish people celebrate the miracle of their escape with a dinner that includes a retelling of that story so our children remember their history. So they remember how important it is not to be slaves to anyone or anything. You could really extrapolate that to have many meanings. Anyway. When we learned that the Grand Velas offered celebrations of many Jewish holidays like this and Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah, we couldn’t resist! A Seder on the beach, when I didn’t have to cook or clean, in a five-star all-inclusive luxury hotel? Yes please!!!!! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @grandvelasmaya #grandvelasrivieramaya #rivieramaya #mexico #familytravels #familytrip #boymomtravels #boymomlife #littleexplorer #passover #jewish #jewishlife #jewishholiday #seder #allinclusiveresort

When you start your day in the best spa you’ve ever visited, it’s hard to imagine your day will get any better. It starts with the Mayan Water Ceremony. 1-Sauna with cucumber slices 2-Ice room with aloe vera facial lotion 3-Scented steam room 4-Lime scented rain shower 5-Exfoliation room: body scrub and hair conditioner with personal shower heads Then my healer started my spa treatment with a Mayan blessing and put my feet in a bowl of dried millet. Then she proceeded to rub my body with an ancient recipe of herbal poultice to reduce inflammation and increase circulation. Truly the best experience at Sé Spa! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @grandvelasmaya #grandvelas #grandvelasrivieramaya #rivieramaya #mexico #familytrip #familytravels #boymomtravels #spaday #luxuryfamilytravel #luxuryallinclusive

After an early garage sale in the suburbs, mommy and daddy got to escape to Hollywood for a boozy rooftop brunch at the Kimpton. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @viderela #beverlybond_pr #viderela #losangeles #losangeleslife #hollywood #hollywoodlife #coupleselfie #rooftopbar

Let’s talk food. How important is it on a vacation? Our problem is it’s very important and we end up spending so much more money going to those “good” restaurants. It’s another reasons why I love all inclusive resorts. Everything is built into the original price and everyone could have as much of and whatever they want. At Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, food is their thing too. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @cbay_stlucia #coconutbaystlucia #beachresorts #allinclusiveresorts #familyvacay #travelfamily #travelwithkids #boymom #tropicalvacation #foodporn #foodiegram #hosted

Best Things To Do In Kennywood for Families!

The Steel Curtain roller coaster is located in Steelers Country in Kennywood, the first ever theme park area and coaster to be named after a professional sports franchise, specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s another area called Kiddieland, which is devoted to classic attractions for little ones like a merry-go-round. Founded in 1898, the Monongahela Street Railway Company leased a popular picnic site, Kenny’s Grove, from Charles Kenny in order to open a trolley park to encourage people to use the company’s trolley cars. If you’d like to stay closer to downtown Pittsburgh, the Fairmount is arguably the nicest hotel in Pittsburgh, that’s actually where celebrities usually stay when they are in town filming movies!

Can’t Miss Things to Do in Atlanta With Kids

I spent so much of my childhood going to Braves baseball games in Atlanta that I was sure that’s what the national anthem meant (“and the home of the … Braves?”). Families also can tour Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church where King was co-pastor, an antique fire station that once served the area, and the visitors center that features an exhibit especially for children. Mountains Hotels near Centennial Olympic Park, like Hyatt Place or Embassy Suites, are close to the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola R. Thomas’s gourmet dishes are vegetarian-friendly, and their kids’ menu is popular for offering childhood staples like peanut

Glen Ivy Hot Springs: A Perfect L.A. Girl's Day Trip

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is the ideal Los Angeles day trip or weekend getaway oasis with pools made of dreams, delicious California-grown food, mud baths, a grotto, mineral baths, and massages. Typically Glen Ivy Hot Springs offers some evening events that are great to enjoy with a glass of wine or two, but they have stopped the evening activities for now because of COVID. If you want to make a weekend out of your trip to Glen Ivy Hot Springs, then I would take a day to visit some of the local wineries because California wine is amazing and even better when you get to experience it where it is grown. The closest place to stay is Staybridge Suites if you would like to make a weekend out of your trip, but you can also make Glen Ivy Hot Springs a day trip!
