Adventureland! It’s always a good time at @adventurelandli There are so many memories in this place and so many more to be made! For six decades Adventureland has brought joy to Long Island families. But this season they’ve reached a pivotal point in their game. Thanks to a big partnership with Catholic Heath there are great additions and enhancements on their way! Plus the new ride - Moonchaser! Over the next few years and thanks to @catholichealth even more land will be developed and new rides will be added. The back property will become a new area with 3-4 more rides never seen before in the US! Nassau Museum Of Art! The @nassaumuseum is one of my favorite places on Long Island. No matter the season the mile long sculpture park is a hit. With endless things to look at it is the perfect place for a family visit. It’s also the perfect spot to meet up with friends for some socializing and exercise. Add in the great Gilded Age mansion turned museum and it’s just a great day. Their current exhibit - Urban Art Evolution - curated by Christopher Pusey - was super fun, colorful, and great for kids. I love graffiti and this exhibit was all about the evolution of graffiti into elevated (and expensive!) contemporary art. It includes Keith Haring going from a subway sneaky-peet chalk hoodlum to the uber famous Pop Shop owner and sought out artist. It also has Basquiats, the works of Rodney Alan Greenblat, Eric Haze, Kenny Scharf, Mark Kostabi, Angel “LA2” Ortiz, the OG Fab Five Freddy Fred Brathwaite, and an autographed refrigerator. Plus it chronicles the story of how the East Village was the height of cool before the starving artists were kicked out by the yuppies (humming the Rent soundtrack as you meandered was optional but encouraged). Colors, colors everywhere. Such a fun exhibit. Plus dinosaurs in party hats. I just love it there. The Urban Art Evolution exhibit runs through July 7, 2024. 📍Support the arts! Toy Insider Spring Fling! It’s taken a while for New York to stop feeling like a tundra and start feeling like spring. Yay! It’s finally here and warm! It was so much fun checking out all the new toys hitting the market this season at the @thetoyinsider Spring Fling! Here are my highlights: I’m super excited for these reusable @soppycidglobal water balloons - they stay together magnetically and hold enough water to pack in the perfect punch! Excellent size to aim at your sibling’s head. @hitsterparty a super fun game where a deck of cards with QR codes brings up songs from the 80s, 90s, and more challenging players to name the date they debuted. Plus cool new toys from @deddy.bears @spinmaster @wowwee @crayola @moose_toys @spinmaster and more! But the most exciting - @rubiks_official is turning 50 and they helped kick off the celebration there! They not only had the OG cube but their new anniversary line including a sensory cube! As always it was so much fun to catch up with old friends and new friends, IG friends, and IRL friends, and all of my brand friends! All this while eating delicious mint chip ice cream from @morgensternsnyc What more do you need? Happy Pesach! My favorite meal all week? MATZAH PIZZA! I love doing all kinds of fun toppings including my favorite of all - @acmesmokedfish lox! Not only is it delicious but it reminds me of my first time having lox on pizza - while studying abroad in Seville, Spain at @sanmarcosantacruz - which is an Italian restaurant in an ancient Jewish mikvah! For every post shared during this 2024 Passover (April 22nd – April 30th), $18 will be donated to UJA from a generous donor. The more posts we all create, the more funds we can raise towards this pivotal cause. The money raised will help UJA with funding many Jewish organizations in New York, Israel, and the world, and you can have an active part in supporting their amazing work!
