Easy Fire Roasted Poblano Crema for Carnitas

Fire-roasted poblanos are the key to this fresh and vibrant crema that is perfect spooned over carnitas or an abundance of other things! Like tonight, when I grabbed Curly’s BBQ Sauceless Pulled Pork that I picked up in the refrigerated meat area of the market (you know, next to the fresh cuts where they also have mac and cheese and other quick solutions ready to grab) out and whipped up some tacos for a friend that dropped by. One of the easiest recipes to make, you only need fresh poblanos, cilantro, garlic (optional), lime juice, crema, and salt. If you’ve tried my Fire Roasted Poblano Crema Recipe or any other recipe on GirlCarnivore.com please don’t forget to rate the recipe and let me know where you found it in the comments below.

These Little Post-It Notes Saved My Sanity — sightDOING

I’m thrilled to see more people get vaccinated every day, but I’m still hesitant when it comes to booking travel. I’m sure someone out there would tell me there are other ways to experience the same natural highs, but despite trying several new hobbies this year, I haven’t found what works for me (at least, not within the other confines of life in general right now). Ones that may be challenging under today’s restrictions or weather dependent (in a very fickle time of year) or coincidentally at a busy time of the week when I’d be preoccupied with other, more responsible endeavors. We collected a list of nearby options and are ordering takeout from a different one each week (yes, with a scheduled list to make it feel more official and to make sure we don’t miss anything along the way).

Fort Lauderdale For Wine Lovers Cooper's Hawk Restaurant

To my surprise, Cooper’s Hawk offers the best of both worlds by combining a wine tasting experience and a restaurant featuring delicious food. I am always looking for places to go with the hubs in South Florida, so I was thrilled that Cooper’s Hawk at Galleria mall opened back up. The best part is that the bottles roll over, so if we don’t go for 3 months, we get to take 3 bottles home and so forth. Membership is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime, P. S I equally loved that they were not pushy with the membership but explained it so well that it was up to us.

    Foil Wrapped Carne Asada Nachos

Please read my Perfect for the campfire, these loaded nachos are layered with all the fixings; freshly grilled carne asada smothered in cheese, and cooked in an aluminum foil pack right on the coals before being pulled high with your favorite toppings. This recipe starts with a simple citrus marinade for the flank steak of orange juice, jalapeno, oil, spices, lime juice, and cilantro which can be made ahead of time and stored in a resealable ziplock container in the cooler or fridge until ready to grill. If you don’t have fresh grilled carne asada for this recipe, you can substitute store-bought carne asada, often preseasoned and found at the meat counter. If you’ve tried this recipe for campfire nachos or any other recipe on GirlCarnivore.com please don’t forget to rate the recipe and let me know where you found it in the comments below.

    Digital Marketing Detox

This month I have started running some ads targeting SEO basics, so I made sure my social media posts have posts like What is SEO? Dates don’t help so check if you can remove them, but make sure that the URL will automatically redirect to a new link and not be broken on your website. I love calls to action at the end of the blog post, but writing the same exact text and call to action is not ideal for SEO. * Add a broken links plugin or do a redirect of broken links.

Cave of the Winds is the Best Winter View of Niagara Falls — sightDOING

The American side of Niagara Falls got shafted: we don’t have the same full-frontal views of the waterfalls that Canada boasts. Everything is either a partial view or a side glance…except we do have one major advantage because we have Cave of the Winds, which is the best falls experience on either side of the border. Cave of the Winds is an up-close, bottoms-up view of Bridal Veil Falls, one of Niagara’s three major cascades. Cave of the Winds is located on Goat Island, inside Niagara Falls State Park.

  • How I display my sand collection and shells

In a previous post, “Why I love islands: beachcombing (sand and shell collecting),” I shared how I became fascinated with combing the beaches for shells. As you’ll read in my earlier article, I began to display my collection in small glass bottles, labeled on the bottom with the name of the island where the sand was collected. I often refer to shell guides like this one (below), as well as online shell identification sites to identify and learn more about shells. The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, Sanibel Island, Florida, offers a free shell guide on its website, as well as an app for iPhone users ($1.99 on the App Store under Shell Museum).

10 Small Business Marketing Strategies That Stick -

I must confess as this is new to me because, after all, I teach organic SEO and organic social media reach, but I now realize how powerful utilizing both marketing strategies can be. The cool thing is that you don’t need long videos; small videos go a long way. Off all the things I’ve done to market my business and keep things “flowing,” the best tip I can give for long-term success and sustainability, is changing the focus from what you can get and your personal and financial goals TO how you can serve and be a true asset to your clients and those around you. More brands will start to adopt to more advanced marketing techniques using services like voice search on Alexa, and Google Home, to connect with customers at home 4.

    Classic Carbonara with Prosciutto

In this iconic carbonara recipe, all you need are some fresh quality ingredients and your minutes away from a romantic meal! Adding some cured meat, shaved hard cheese, and freshly ground black pepper go a long way to enhancing the luxury of this recipe. For iconic carbonara, you only need pasta, egg yolks, cured ham, quality cheese, black pepper, and salt. But for this, I used Prosciutto di San Daniele, a 13-month dry-aged ham that only exists in the picturesque climate of San Daniele del Friuli from Italian breeds.

4 Gorgeous Winter Hikes in Franconia Notch State Park — sightDOING

(barebooting is hiking in winter boots but without any other special equipment).New Hampshire in general is great for outdoor recreation, but to get you started I’ve rounded up four trails that are great for Franconia Notch hiking in winter (plus one that’s overrated). If you want to hike all day, you can actually design a loop north to Lonesome Lake (discussed below) or south to the Flume Gorge (mentioned above).Distance: 3 miles round-trip, more or less depending on how far around the lake you walk Difficulty: extra special:Stunning views from the top of the surrounding mountainsSnow-capped trees that make it feel like you’re walking through vanilla-frosted forestThe lake itself, which might even be frozen enough to safely walk across (do not attempt unless you’re experienced on how to check!)This hike is not extremely steep, but it is consistently uphill. You’ll want poles for the handful of brook crossings, both to keep your balance and to confirm if you’re walking on solid ground versus a thin layer of ice and snow with cold water
