RV Travel Families

This RV was the place our family reconnected after 10 years of being committed to military life, TDYs, deployments and more. We started our journey in 2018 to Colorado for our first trip then made the journey home then right back to Colorado for a second time not even a month later. In March 2019 we sold our home and hit the road full-time making our journey south to New Orleans first then onto Florida where we traveled around the state for nearly 3 months. Right around New Years we rolled into Tucson only expecting to stay for a few weeks maybe a couple of winter months then be on our way and that is where our journey ends with this motorhome.

We personally haven’t hired a mobile RV repair service but we have come across a handful of mechanics in our time traveling. Now, even if the mobile tech isn’t certified, it doesn’t mean he isn’t qualified, it just means they haven’t written the exams. An added benefit to not having to drag your rig into a shop is that you don’t have to wait weeks or months for an appointment and then weeks for the work to be completed. By 2009, I had decided to focus exclusively on photographing families who were on vacation at the beach and was getting so much work that I had to contract the “overflow” work out to another photographer. In 2010, I changed the name of my business from “Ron Wainscott Photography” to “Shore Shooters Beach Photography” since I was no longer the only photographer in the business. After expanding Shore Shooters into a number of beach communities throughout Florida and South Carolina, we decided to start a similar tourist-based business (Mountain Escape Photography) for families visiting the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. When I traveled to the different areas where we do business, I always seemed to be in a hurry to get my work done and get back home because hotels in tourist areas can get expensive!

We spent a week in the Buffalo, NY area and our friends took us out to Niagara Falls. Before we got to the Falls as we were traveling across New York State we came across an incredibly low bridge. This is one of our favorite stops so far and a bucket list item that we marked off. Join us as we head out to the Falls and explore this beautiful view.

This week we travel from Vermont and New Hampshire to Maine, our ultimate northern destination on our travels. We visited Portland Head Light just as Hurricane Dorian was blowing through and witnessed some epic waves crashing right up on the rocks. We had a great date night without the kids in Portland and soaked up part of this amazing city. This weeks video will take you from Michigan to Northern Ohio where we bunkered down for a couple nights before heading to New York. We adventured into some of Michigan’s most welcoming small coastal towns like Suttons Bay and Port Sanilac, Michigan. We stayed for a week in Traverse City State Park where we celebrated our oldest daughters 9th birthday. We even visited a castle in Ohio called Squires Castle.

Things to Do in the Black Hills: Jeep Trail Riding & Camping Things to Do in the Black Hills: We stopped at a gas station in Hill City, SD and got a trail map to tell us where we could and couldn’t ride. OHV trail riding is also called ATV or UTV trail riding. All in all we pay around $20 per month for mail service between shipping and the service fees. This is an extra service I pay St. Brendan’s for n’t ask them to forward mail I don’t need. I don’t request my mail to be opened and scanned since I know what’s in it just by looking at the envelope scan and it costs extra.
