Highlights
  • How to Reupholster a Chair Seat for Beginners

The secret is out and people are flocking to thrift stores and Facebook Marketplace to score some great second hand furniture. Though the chairs needed a bit of work, the owner had a dog that chewed up some of the chair legs, the bones of the chair were in great condition. This print has allll the colors I love in our home and has a fun, yet modern boho edge unseen in the other prints I looked at. This chair is looking so fabulous in our living room, but I can’t wait to get the dining room all cleaned up to set the chairs there instead.

  • How to make a Simple Scandi wreath in a minute!

I’ve been sharing quick spring/Easter ideas for the annual Very Global Easter series with my pal Kathy of Up To We’re sharing wreath ideas that add spring vibes and I have a little simple scandi wreath that can be made in a snap! This is how to make a simple scandi wreath in a minute and add sweet spring touches around your home. These mini simple scandi wreaths can be created to add spring touches throughout several areas of your home.

  • Spring Abstract Art Printable

If you’ve missed any of the DIY Easter ideas shared so far, you can catch them below. Instead, I created a cute abstract art piece that is full of my spring color palette. This print goes well with the DIY handmade clay Easter egg tags I shared last week. Simply print out your free spring abstract art printable onto cardstock printer paper and frame.

  • Homemade clay Easter Egg Tags

We can’t do any spring decorating without some sort of Easter egg craft. That’s why I love today’s post about creative Easter egg ideas. I’ve had an idea for an Easter egg tag made of homemade clay, or salt dough if you will, for a while How to mold clay into an egg shape without a cookie cutter I rolled out more clay and tried again using a sake cup to cut out a circle then pinched the sides to mold it into a more oval-ish shape.

  • Simple Easter Tree with Bead Ornaments

I’ve shared a folk bird Easter tree, a himalayan salt tree, and a global style paper mache Easter tree. Instead of using Easter eggs for my tree, I created Easter egg shaped bead ornaments to decorate spring branches. Slide the branches into the vase and add the bead ornaments to create your own simple Easter tree with bead ornaments. Add wooden bead ornaments to your simple Easter tree to boost the natural and organic vibe.

  • 7 Quick ways to decorate your home for spring without losing your mind or time!

With all the demands on my schedule, virtual school and housekeeping shenanigans, I can’t quite dedicate as much time to decorating as before this pandemic. Use baskets and trays to create a new look for the entryway. You can create a completely new look just by swapping out the head chairs. I’ll be completing each of these ideas this week….even with the snow storm that’s expected to come.

  • Small Laundry Room Makeover

Today is room reveal day for the New Year New Room Refresh challenge. If you are just joining in today, I challenged some of my friends to refresh a space during the month of January to kick off the New Year with a new room. This brings a much more fresh, organic vibe in the sea of blue wallpaper and blue painted cabinets. Thrifted glasses make excellent containers for the laundry pods and laundry powder.

  • Wallpaper In the Laundry Room

It’s the last week before we reveal all of our rooms for the New Year New Room Refresh Challenge. This week, I will have to start AND FINISH the entire laundry room refresh since I’ve had very little time to work on it the last couple of weeks. You can check out my laundry room ideas Pinterest board and see all the inspo I found. I can’t wait to have this Aztec Suns wallpaper by Milton and King up in the laundry room.

  • Small Laundry Room Design Plan

We finally have a design plan after many, many, MANY hours thinking about how to approach this laundry room refresh with as little stress as possible. Along with the wallpaper, I plan to continue the Behr Alice blue paint I used in the small entryway refresh onto the laundry room cabinets. I’ve been replacing the flooring in the house with this gorgeous flooring that is both water resistant and beautiful. We are high speeding this refresh and will actually jump into the next refresh right afterward!

  • Small, Windowless laundry room refresh

It’s the 2021 New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge! Each year, I challenge a few friends to join me in refreshing a space to kick off the New Year. This month, each designer will refresh a space and share their progress each Tuesday this January with the final room reveal on the last Tuesday of the month. The space is extremely small and also serves as the access point to the basement, so proper use of space is very important for this refresh.
